If Namibia had a feudal dynasty, it would be here not elegant lodge. Here is a queen named Maly, a front desk staff with an arrogant and extremely unfriendly attitude and no patience to answer customer questions. Of course, there was also a king whose name was Daniel, who worked as a tour guide. The cost of participating in the Deadvlei trip is N2,000. The price is acceptable, but he is arrogant, do not understand the customer's problems and do not know if he has not received an education. I can tell you that if you have a car you can drive by yourself for a total cost of no more than N500 including inside 4x4 shuttle car and you can also complete visiting Deavlei or even Big Daddy without any a guide. The most ironic of this elegant lodge is the only elegant sign that only entrance door sign.

Be careful: when you book a room at this lodge there is no guarantee that you will receive a room with view to the desert. They have quite a few rooms which do not even have a window facing the desert but only their garden instead. This is not what we signed up for and we decided to book another hotel nearby. The management of the lodge was not very understanding and did not refund. In my view this is false advertisement. The pictures for the room on booking show only the rooms with the great desert view. If you want to gamble ln a good view, book here, if you want to have a nice view guaranteed, book somewhere else. We stayed at the neighbouring Desert Homestay Lodge, which was fantastic.

We had a very pleasant stay at Elegant Desert Lodge. Staff was very friendly and helpful, food was amazing and a lot of attention is paid at the details. The turn down during diner with a sweety and bedside story on your pillow was an unique little surprise every night. The rooms and bathrooms are fully equiped with everything you need and attention is paid to sustainability. Lovely activities are offerend and if you're not into that, the pool is a great place to relax.

AWESOME place. Would recommend anyone to stay there when visiting Sossousvlei. The rooms are impeccable, the pool is awesome, the food is delicious, and the staff is the friendliest. The Place is run by a great Manager Yvonne who has a good relationship with her staff who all calls her Ouma. Do yourself a favour and stay at this beautiful establishment when you're in the area.
