Fiona et Gareth ont été des hôtes exceptionnels. Nous étions à leur établissement pour pratiquer le cyclisme de route. Gareth nous suggérait des trajets intéressants et nous accompagnait. Il nous indiquait les points de ravitaillement et de restauration. La semaine de vélo était idéale. En plus, les conseils de Fiona ont été utiles quant aux techniques de respiration lorsque vient le temps de gravir des cols importants. À l’établissement, les repas sont simples mais délicieux. Les chambres sont confortables. Le lieu est superbe.

Nous avons été facturés pour des nuits supplémentaires sans avoir été informés au préalable, et sans qu’aucun devis n’ait été signé. À notre départ, l’hôte nous a mis une pression inacceptable pour régler ces frais inattendus. Cette situation nous a contraints à entamer des démarches judiciaires. Une expérience stressante que je ne souhaite à personne. Je déconseille vivement cet établissement.

Es un lugar con mucho encanto y mucha tranquilidad ideal para alejarse del ruido de la ciudad y descansar cuerpo y mente. Tanto los dueños como el personal son muy atentos y disponibles. Además el hotel cuenta con muchas actividades bonitas por hacer. Nos encantó, seguro repetiré!

We had the most amazing week at Mas Pelegris. What an awesome place! It’s not really what I would describe as a hotel because it was so much more!Gareth and Fiona could not have done more for us.They were so generous with their time and advice.We hired 5 bikes which Gareth got ready perfectly for us and sorted out any problems with them super quickly.There are loads of hotel routes all set up on Strava which meant we were able to explore the area at distances and elevations that my youngest could manage.It was our first family cycling holiday and the kids loved it!Gareth also sorted out an afternoon kayaking for us with an Olympic gold medalist and an afternoon of horse riding for our daughter.The 25 metre pool is a joy to swim in as it’s not too full of chlorine. Cycling to Lake Banyoles was the highlight of our trip.The lake is beautiful and a joy to swim in and the cycle there and back is just about challenging enough for everyone. We also did the free yoga class laid on by Fiona every morning and if that wasn’t an end to her talents my husband and I also both had an excellent sports massage from her and we had a family aerial yoga lesson! We ate at the hotel a lot as it was easier for our family and the food is excellent. Healthy, hearty and delicious. The puddings were a particular highlight and we argued over our favourites! All this in an off grid eco hotel! Such a special place!

The hotel was basic but adequate for a cycling holiday. Breakfast was wholesome and evening meals simple and reasonably wholesome. Small lunch packs were available on request also. The very friendly staff catered very well for my food intolerances. The cycling holiday booked was part Training Camp and part Self Guided for myself and couple of mates. The Training Camp element didn't really materialize, as Gareth, the guide and co-owner felt there was little benefit to be had from either of us. Only a minimum of advice was provided (when prompted) and there was no post ride advise or talks about the various aspects of training. The Guided and Self-Guided route planning was excellent proving the owners good local knowledge. I had a massage session with Fiona, who highlighted the causes of my knee issues and muscle imbalances. The pool was great for post ride cold water immersion although the adjacent outdoor jacuzzi wasn't working. There's a large bike store area in the ground floor, albeit lacked in adequate task lighting for maintenance and the bike stand was definitely looking a bit tired and in need of replacement. The overall 10 day experience was good, representing reasonable value for money. It was fairly apparent though that personnel resources were stretched, which would in part explain the lack of training camp delivery, albeit co-owner Fiona did unfortunately catch Covid hence was out of action for all but 1 day of our stay. The surrounding area was absolutely fabulous for cycling though and I'd say is the best off-season are I've experience for cycling (compared with many other EU locations). I'll definitely return to Catalonia, however may opt for a more coastal location.

Beautiful hotel with lovely large rooms, bike rental and storage, 25m pool and lovely run routes. Set very near a quiet little town and 10min drive from a larger busier town for evenings out. There is also a beautiful lake to swim in which in September was lovely and warm. Gareth and Fiona (hotel owners) provided Cycling guided rides between 40 and 100miles based on our needs, guided runs with coaching and pool swims with coaching if requested. Hotel pool is 25m lanes. It was easier to describe types of workouts desired and the rides would be designed around our needs. Local roads are perfect for cycling. Hotel food is really nice and there wasn’t much desire to eat elsewhere, but when we did, there are nice restaurants in the town 10mins away. Gareth and Fiona are both ex-high-level athletes and knowledgable about tri sports and Fiona runs Yoga sessions which we found really helpful to set up the day ahead. Lovely, beautiful large rooms and they provide bike rental or storage with loads of space for bike boxes etc. Would love to go back, and next time focus on more cycling.
