This was the most expensive/cheapest room we have every stayed in. At 600.00+ a night,(Monterey car week) I expected nicer. I don’t think I’ve ever paid that much for a hotel room and I’ve stayed at nice luxurious hotels before. The floors were so dirty our feet were filthy after walking on them. I even wiped down the floor and turned a white towel grey/black. The towel rack fell out of the wall and someone played loud music all night and it sounded like elephants stopping around at night above us. Folks at the desk were nice and they did have breakfast burritos, muffins, yogurt and oranges.

The location was great for the day trips we had planned. The disappointing part was the property itself. The location wasn't hot so we were fine with no AC but our room window didn't have a screen (on the first floor) so when we did open the window, we all got bit by a mosquito that got in the room. The bathroom floor was dirty, there was hair on the floor and in shower when we arrived, and the shower head sprayed water out of the back of it when it was turned on. The towels were plentiful but stained. The TV never worked during our 3 day stay and there was only one outlet in the room, making it difficult for our family to charge our phones. The bedspread on our bed had a cigarette burn in it. There was a stale cigarette odor in our room despite it being a non-smoking room. Breakfast was included but the selection was sp**** and there was no seating. It just felt dirty.

Front desk very nice people. Exterior door showed a lot of gaps and it was 50 degrees outside. This was a first floor unit and the drapes didn’t quite meet, so I used a hanger to clip them close. Checked the mattress and it was very very soft and stained all over. On the second night. There was a large group of men drinking alcohol on the parking lot outside my room, I did not feel safe entering by myself. I ended up crashing in my daughters dorm room that night.

Hotel is located at seaside city. It's 5 km from Montery city center. It's surrounded by store and restaurant nearby. Room is clean and comfortable. There is a lot of parking space. Easy brrakfast is provided at lobby, due to Covid situation, guests have to grab a food to take in their room Price is reasonable.

I stayed with a friend as we were visiting Monterey & i was pleasantly surprised with our room. There was a bit of a wait to check in, but during panorama, I don't fault anyone, its understandable. The room was clean, bigger than I was expecting & had everything we needed for our 1 night stay. I appreciated the usb ports in the end table, my last hotel stay did not have that, so it was a nice addition for my friend who had forgotten her charging block. The room was quiet, no ac, but we were right by the ocean so ac isnt a necessity. There was a ceiling fan & an additional box fan, which we used for white noise. Overall it was a great stay for our needs & especially for the price. If you need a cheap room just 15 minutes from Cannery Row, I definitely recommend. We were even given a small covid friendly breakfast options.
