Das Gute zuerst. Das Zimmer war gut eingerichtet und sauber. Aber es gibt keine Klimaanlage und es kann dort sehr heiß sein. Wir hatten 3 Monate vorher das Zimmer Nr. 2 mit Kitchenette gebucht. Aber als wir ankamen hatten sie für und die Nr. 1 vorgesehen, welches direkt neben der Straße liegt und sehr laut ist, insbesondere wenn man wegen der Hitze nachts Fenster und Tür offen haben muss. Bitte beachten sie, dass die William Street mehr befahren ist als die King Street, jedenfalls war es so als wir dort waren. Wir würden dort nicht wieder übernachten.

What a great little find in Scottsdale! we were on our way to Derby for our last day and decided to have a stopover here as there was a supermarket and we wanted to stock up before going to Derby the next day. Anabels was just as described on their website, but even more impressive. There was cereal & biscuits, coffee, tea, milo, milk and a very comfortable spacious clean room. The gardens were a nice setting to sit and have my wine. There is a Woolworths supermarket less than 5 minutes walk, along with some coffee shops, bakery & hotel . It’s a very small town with not much to offer but great for an overnight stop.

I booked here for one night to break the journey between Bicheno and Launceston and it was a good choice. It meant I had chance to sightsee on the drive up, stopping at a dairy farm for delicious cheese, and the Legerwood wood sculptures too. I was going to look at Bay of Fires but it was winter and would have been a 50 mile round trip to see more beaches, there are so many gorgeous beaches in Tasmania I find it hard to believe there is another worth such a detour in winter. Anyway I accessed the property via a side gate as I did not see the main gate so I had to find my way through the garden to the main house to check in. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, showing me to the room and demonstrating how the heater worked. The room was very pretty, and also very clean. There were two comfy chairs arranged to look out over the lovely gardens, as well as a table and two chairs. The bed was queen size and also had an electric blanket as it can get cold at nights in winter in Tasmania. The shower room was also clean and quite spacious. I had not really expected much else but there was a small fridge and microwave, as well as an iron, ironing board and hair dryer. There was tea and coffee making facilities including the provision of ground coffee and a cafetière, a very nice touch. I popped to the local supermarket to buy some fruit and yoghurt for the morning as well as snacks for my evening meal. This was a lovely property and once of the nicest I have stayed in so far on my Australian trip!

Fantastic. Quiet comfortable room and bed with the most magnificent view of the beautiful established garden. Right in the centre of town. Hosts were welcoming and accommodating. Will definitely be booking again

We stayed in Room 5, exceedingly well appointed, self contained and pristine. More than adequate amenities for our overnight sojourn. After our friendly greeting on arrival and then being settled in by our gracious hostess, we simply felt at home. Ventured out for a late lunch/early dinner and decided to have an early night to be fresh for the following days adventures. Our comfortable cosy bed ensured that we were refreshed. Lovely heritage gardens to take a stroll, just beware of the mosquitos. A fantastic place to stay in Scottsdale.

6 of us from Sydney touring Tasmania on motorbikes. One of our guys chose and booked Anabel's. We arrived this afternoon from an overnight at Cradle Mtn and a tiring day of fabulous riding. Steven greeted us in the carpark with a Boags each. The rooms are quite simply amazing for the price with everything we could need. Kitchen and bathroom thoughtfully stocked and everything in excellent condition. Toiletries are a really nice touch. Surrounded by lovely gardens. A quick walk to the shops, cafes, pubs etc. We liked the rooms so much we did some shopping and had dinner in our biggest room. Highly recommended.
