沙夫豪森附早餐的飯店

This is a very modern and stylish hotel, extremely convenient for the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and the historic city centre. Despite its proximity to the centre, it’s actually in quite a quiet location. The bedrooms are well insulated for sound, so we heard very little noise from the station or outside generally. The hotel overall, including the rooms, are decorated and furnished in a contemporary, “corporate” style, which some may find lacks charm. But the lobby, bar and restaurant are smartly decorated with good quality materials and artistic touches. The room was functional but very clean, efficient and comfortable. We stayed for a few nights and felt the hotel was welcoming and safe. I would give the restaurant 4 out of 5. It provided a very good, typically Swiss buffet breakfast and a pleasant pasta meal on our first evening. It was very quiet and we enjoyed friendly, personal service. However, on another evening, the Caesar salad was underwhelming. Our server was kept very busy as the restaurant was very full and there was, let’s say, a misunderstanding, about our wine order, which resulted in us paying quite a bit more than we expected. The city centre is very historic, interesting and attractive to wander around. There’s plenty of choice of restaurants and cafes. From the main station you can reach the Rheinfalls via two alternative local stations - Schloss Laufen and Neuhausen Rheinfall. You can also take a train along the Rhine valley to places like Stein am Rhein and lake Konstanz, or get to Zurich quite easily.

The hotel is located about a 10 minuet walk from the train station through the pretty town.The area is quiet ,There is a car park to the front and the church next door that seems to have quiet bells.Rooms at the font have a nice view of the Munot ( Fort ) and across the old town. There was no shortage of staff all very friendly and professional. Breakfast was fairly good with cold meats & cheeses etc. The bread was very nice and they had a good variety. The room I had 302 was at the front and fairly spacious with good light. There was no noise from outside and it was warm & comfortable.The only downside I could find was the noise from the bathroom in the room next door. I think the bathrooms were an addition in an old hotel and they didn't put enough soundproofing in so you can hear what is going on in the bathroom. The restaurant is very good and the food tasty.Service was also good and in the bar too. I would defiantly recommend a stay at this hotel in a lovely town

I used to come here at least five times a year on business. Prior to staying at this hotel I stayed at other hotels in Schaffhausen that could not hold a candle to the Hotel Bahnhof. This is my first time back since COVID and being retired. All the people working at the hotel were the same and remembered me. I received a very nice room upgrade to the top view with a glorious view of the Munot! This was unexpected and so appreciated. The room and hotel in general was very clean and perfectly maintained. This is by far the best located hotel in Schaffhausen, across the street from the train station and all the local transportation. A block away is the old town for pleasant walks and a host of wonderful restaurants. Breakfast was in a nice room; varied, plentiful and delicious, just like I remembered it from years ago. Service was perfect; but over and above perfection it felt genuine, in that everyone really means it!

The soundproofing of this building is very poor, and some of the rooms have been rented out as apartments to families. I suffered from the noise of children running around upstairs until 23:00 and could not sleep. The hotel is clean, the rooms are fine, but for the same price you could find far more attractive hotels in downtown Schaffhausen. I do not recommend this hotel and would not return.

Gut gelegen, günstig. Sehr dünne Wände, Oropax empfohlen, da nicht alle Gruppen gleich leider sind. WLAN geht nicht so gut auf den Zimmern, je weiter offen, desto weniger gut. Frühstück auch für Vegetarier und Veganer geeignet, wie auch das Abendessen (auf Voranmeldung!). Mittagessen nur als Lunchpaket, weniger zu empfehlen. Typische Jugendherberge-Atmosphäre. Kaffeemaschine nur für Frühstück, die Kleine, mit Kapseln zu bestückende Maschine macht keinen guten as Karte (und die Kapseln sind schlicht zu teuer…). Das Team ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
