森納特飯店(Hotel Senator)

Old style hotel. Some of the furniture needs to be renovated, the armchairs were dirty and broken, night lamp was also broken. Weird smell in the corridor. I have to say the bed was very comfy and bed linen was clean. Breakfast was poor, just coffee and muffins.

Breakfast is not as you may expect, old facilities. No iron in some rooms!

This hotel is visually beautiful with classic charming accents. Unfortunately due to the age of the building and the little quirks that come along with it, I wouldn't stay there again. The rooms were quite noisy, creaky floors, you could hear other visitors talking/moving about. Throughout the night there was a loud snapping sound (possibly from the pipes??), anytime another room used their washroom it was extremely loud and difficult to sleep through. The breakfast also left something to be desired, only coffee/tea, juice, apples, oranges, yogurt and muffins. I feel like it would be better advertised as a "light breakfast." The pub attached was lovely with good food and service. Upon checking out the front desk staff never even bothered to ask how my stay was, only concerned with checking to see that the room was already paid for.

Quaint old little hotel in the perfect location downtown. Winston's Pub is in the main floor which is a must if you like beer and am old English style pub. Warning, you may hear the music from the pub in your room at night. I am fine with it, but just something to be aware of if that would bother you.

A lovely old building. Restaurant was too pricey. Nice pub, but noisy. A few odd characters outside on the street. Day staff were awesome, night staff very unhelpful. Could have had a better breakfast. Very comfortable bed and I had a blissfully quiet room.

Here for business, and did not spend much time in my room. My wife booked online, as it was close to work. What a treat. Beautiful historic old charm and classic fixtures. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Dinnesh (Dennis) even took me on a quick mini tour to show me some of the hidden gems at the hotel as I was checking out. Looking forward to staying again socially with my family and spending more time checking out the rest of the hotel and the pub next door. Bed was very comfy. PS- be patient with the showers, they do work!

The property is very European/like, definitely a heritage theme. Very close to many tourist places, including Persephone, theater, cafes, art gallery and plaza. Appreciated loading zone in front. Appreciated the security in place at the hotel and attached bar. Room had been partially upgraded. Despite busy location, noise from the street and the bar did not penetrate into the bedroom. Complimentary breakfast was a muffin, yogurt and fruit. Elevator old but dependable.

Parking is terrible and not enough spaces. The spaces are stacked so if the people behind you want to leave, you must leave your room and move your car. Parking area is very “sketchy” after dark. Rooms are very small. No place to sit except the bed. Linen is clean but old, sheets are thin. Front desk staff are not helpful and you feel you are inconveniencing them. Would not stay here again!

The front desk people turned us back saying the room wasn't ready and asked us to come 2 hours later. Breakfast didn't have any notable food to eat. Rather they could have just said they don't provide breakfast. The whole setup was bad. Bed was not flat on one side and was uneven, felt like lying on a hammock. Bed frame rods were sticking out and hurt me. Bathroom door was stuck when closed and didn't even have a lock. Overall the space was so cramped even for parking we had to struggle to find a spot as cars are parked in front of the other. Moreover room was smelly before we had to get used to it...the worst stay ever in my life.
