Sarovar Portico Gir resort is very strategically located and easy on the pocket, its close to both the Lion Safari and the Devaliya Interpretation Zone, The hotel ambience is very neatly done..with a pool and play area for children.The resort staff is very friendly and always ready to make amendments as per the convenience of the guest. Mr. Rahul, the Guest Relation ***ager was very helpful in assisting us with all the necessary arrangements. All in all it was a wonderful stay, and we plan to go back there in the monsoon season too

Sarovar Portico Gir would thrill a bird-lover. Lion sightings are a matter of luck. We sighted a Lioness, other than Nilgais, Mongoose, Sambhar, Deers, Peacocks, Monkeys and a Mongoose. We stayed in a Forest view Studio room. A well maintained swimming pool, badminton court and activity area keeps the kids busy. A documentary on Gir was shown in one of the evenings. The safari was also booked a month in advance, and we could share it with another guest couple. Mr Rahul or Mr Piyush should be contacted for the same.The room was spacious enough for the three of us. A Bird watching trip in the evening with Mr Rahul helped us identify the names of birds that we could shoot with our camera. There are over 200 types of bird in Gir. Overall superb experience So pack your bags right away.

We had an enjoyable stay at Sarovar Portico Sasan Gir. The property is at just about 5-7 minutes distance from the Safari starting point and has serene atmosphere. The hotel staff, from reception to room service and restaurant is very helpful and courteous. Mr Anil, Piyush, and Ankur and others at the reception ensured we had a smooth experience from booking to check-out. They also quickly helped us in getting good local transport. The food is very good and made fresh to suite your taste and preferences, which is soul satisfying. Thank you to the chef for that. Sachin, Maya, Khalid and other staff in restaurant helped us with their courteous service. They also have a good lawn, play area, pool. Haven't seen the spa. The only challenge we felt was with water taps in the bathroom, a bit hard to operate for senior citizens. Overall a perfect place to relax. Thank you.

It’s amazing experience dining here and great people at all. The breakfast and the dinner both were just outstanding and also the staff is very helpful. The room they allotted us is also very nice. Also the view outside from here and the swimming pool is large and we have very fun there with my family. Thanks
