Gir Serai front office staff, restaurant staff are like robots --- no smiles, just very transactional. The human touch is missing. The staff is also not very well versed with sight seeing at Gir and do not provide any guidance on what to carry / not carry for Safaris or any other topic, on their own. Robots again. Another thing that brings down the image of Gir Serai is the Liquor shop in the premises (that is not owned or run by Gir Serai). This liquor shop through the attitude of the goons running it brings down the image of Gir Serai further

Abbiamo soggiornato la notte scorsa in questa struttura comodissima per visitare il parco dei leoni. L'albergo ha belle camere, non molto spaziose, ma confortevoli, con un grazioso terrazzino. Non manca niente: la televisione, la macchina del caffè, tutto l'occorrente per il bagno, un wifi veloce. Buone anche la cena e la prima colazione. L'albergo ci ha organizzato anche il safari nel parco, con eccellente rispetto dei tempi.

Stayed at Gir Serai - IHCL SeleQtions from 6th to 8th June with my wife. The property is tucked away right next to the Hiran River, surrounded by jungle — you can feel nature all around. We had a river-view room, which was spacious, clean, and peaceful. We did three safaris — and what a treat! Spotted 12 lionesses, a majestic lion, and several sub-adults and cubs. The safari guides knew the forest well and made the experience special. The food deserves a special mention. Every meal was excellent. The Kathiyawadi thali stood out — spicy, bold, and satisfying. Apu and Jahid from the restaurant were warm, attentive, and lovely to chat with. We also caught the tribal dance performance — great energy, and the fire show added flair. Felt like a proper celebration of local culture. The vibe was perfect: unhurried, close to nature, and very comfortable. Highly recommended if you’re looking to really disconnect and soak in the wild.

Superb Experience and so well maintained hotel !!! Moreover the location is just superb (Walking distance from Sinh Sadan). The staffs were an absolute add on. So well behaved and courteous. I want to specially mention one of the staff named “Apu” who is such gem of a person. His customer engagement reflects impeccable situational awareness, proactive service delivery, and a refined understanding of guest expectations. He exhibited strong ownership of the guest experience, ensuring seamless end-to-end interactions with high accuracy and poise. He anticipated my requirements, maintained composure during high-traffic service windows, and delivered superb service. It has significantly elevated my satisfaction. His professional demeanor, meticulous execution, and consistent adherence to luxury service protocols position him as a standout performer and a brand ambassador for the property.

The hospitality, care and sensitivity of staff at Gir Serai were big factors making our stay a pleasantly memorable experience. The staff is groomed well, and this grooming brings out the best virtues of humility, professionalism, caring attitude, which are inherent in the staff. The managing people- Asim, Amarkant, Smriti, Irfan, Kaushik and Maibul deserve an individual mention for their professionalism, sensing the needs of the guests and doing that much extra to make the guests feel at home and pampered. Precise in giving information and useful suggestions, the managing staff is an asset to the brand. The restaurant staff is not to be left behind when it comes to being sensitive, caring and proactively finding solutions to guests' special needs and helping them in creating wonderful memories. Jahid and Aldad had so much knowledge and stories to share about the forest, the animals, the people and the culture that having food at the restaurant was a feast- both food wise and also for having a nice time. Rashmi and Aman were super prompt and we adored the affection with which they served. Apu will always be remembered for his silken voice and the melodious songs he sang, in addition to his caring of us. Fantastic experience, overall! and their luck charm was with us to have sighted lions during both the safaris we went to!

We visited for dinner and had an amazing night, they organised a karaoke night in the dining room which we really enjoyed and had a memorable night, the staff were kind and polite especially Mr Jahid for always took care of us whenever we visited with a warm heart and a genuine smile ❣️
