Quinta de família, bem melhor que muitas cadeias hoteleiras, bom pequeno almoço, excelente jantar, melhor que muitos restaurantes na ilha, o anfitrião e o staff são do melhor, recomendo experimentar o jacuzzi dentro da estufa de ananás, uma experiência única.

Wat een fijn hotel om te verblijven. Je komt aan in een smal straatje maar met een druk op de afstandsbediening kom je in de heerlijke tuin met ananas kassen en bij het prachtig ingerichte hotel. Sfeervol en ook strak, comfortabel en luxe. Heerlijk ontbijt super vriendelijk en attent personeel. Een echte aanrader. Ook de menukaart voor het diner is uiterst verfijnd....dus...namen we 3 toetjes samen. Konden niet kiezen...

This was my second wonderful stay at Herdade do Ananas. Staff manages to be both friendly and professional, and my strongest sense is that this hotel is extremely well managed and well maintained--it has every right to claim to be a polished boutique rural hotel. The property is spotless, and the outdoor common areas are being further improved through more plantings. Rooms are very comfortable with modern bathrooms and cozy beds. The location is not walkable to anything; you do need to either have a car or take taxis. Breakfast is excellent and plentiful, with eggs cooked to order. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent, particularly the hummus. Two small points for improvement. One, the coffee at breakfast is indeed poor quality, although I appreciate they serve it alongside hot milk and will bring a custom espresso. The in-room coffee is unfortunately instant. Secondly, they allow smoking and while I only saw ash trays, not smokers, on the balconies, this really has a dampening affect considering how the building and grounds are laid out. If one person did decide to smoke, it certainly would affect others in the vicinity.

This was by far one of the best hotels we stayed at. The room was super clean and super comfortable. They had an awesome jacuzzi that you need to check out and the tour of the plantation was incredible. Dinner was incredible, make a reservation as they get booked but it was incredible. The tuna bread dish was one of the best meals ive ever had and our waiter recommended the hummus, to die for. Don't pass up the pineapple cognac dish for desert. The hotel altogether was awesome.

A hidden gem close to everything … we felt cared for by all the staff, especially Edgar. Our room had a balcony, which we enjoyed in the morning and early evening. We took advantage of the jacuzzi inside the pineapple greenhouse and had dinner at the restaurant twice .., highly recommend.

We had an extremely pleasant stay at Herdades do Ananas. The rooms were simple, but very comfortable and the breakfast was exceptionally great. Someone else commented on the jug of coffee, but espresso drinks are available on request. I would recommend having dinner on the property for at least one of your evenings here. The food was better than any of our other meals on the island. The staff spoke English and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I have to give special thanks to Edgar, who served our breakfasts and gave us a tour of the property-with an explanation of how they grow pineapples in the greenhouses there. He always went above and beyond in helping us. It is a little distance from the city center, but we liked the peace and quiet in this setting. Also, it’s an easy taxi ride to the city center or a lot of guests rented a car— and there is plenty of free parking. Highly recommended!
