We spent 1 week in this beautiful village back in October. The Villa had a beautiful private pool, was well located within a small village, had private parking, and a wonderful host (Nikos). We enjoyed being away from the crowds of Oia/ Fira, and instead enjoy the proximity to local wine villages and the stunning volcanic beaches of Perissa. The Lidl supermarket was 10min drive away, we loved our stay and had a wonderful holiday.

Nice apartment with a lovely terrace and plunge pool. Plenty big enough for the four of us. Only complaint is some things didn't work such as the kettle and one of the bedside lights. So they hadn't been checked recently. The hot water was also a bit hit and miss. Sometimes there wasn't any for a day or two. The apartments were nicely designed and in part of the old castle complex. It was lovely exploring there in the evening. Lots of narrow windy alleyways. 10 mins from shops. The road to the site is very narrow and the complex is best avoided if you struggle on steep steps.

Timedrops was amazing! We had a fantastic time here. Nicholas is so helpful and arranged our transfers, boat trip, car rental and is on hand whenever needed. The rooms were authentic and full of charm and character. The pool was clean and refreshing. There are a lot of steps which could be steep for older guests. Beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Nicholas even bought a new fan so our son could have one in his room at night. We even made friends with a very friendly grey cat from the neighbourhood who joined us for meals! Shops and restaurants are a short walk away and convenient. I'd recommend Timedrops for anyone wishing to have a quiet stay in a traditional area of Santorini away from the crowds of the more popular towns.

We stayed at Timedrops for 4 nights. The villa was lovely and clean. We had water, juice and waffles left for us. Niko was very friendly and helpful though check in was lengthy. The pool was absolutely freezing and had flies and bugs floating in it. Could do with a net so guests can fish them out! We were unable to use it. It’s a shame where these villas are situated as the area of Emporio is not very nice. Lots of derelict unused buildings,streets covered in dog and cat poo. After dark we stayed in as didnt feel safe. Dogs coming at you barking and growling. Local restaurants not nice. We walked to Perissa beach(took around 30 mins). Lovely beaches with lots of food choices. Take the bus to Fira, book a table and watch the beautiful sunset. If we ever visit this island again we would stay in Fira or Oia.

Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans la villa Volcano Les villas Timedrops sont situées dans le petit village d’Emporio qui est très charmant avec ses ruelles et son centre. Des magasins et toute nécessité à 5minutes de marche. Arrêt de bus également a environ 5 mn mais attention car souvent les bus sont complets en haute saison et, comme partout à santorin, la signalisation n’est pas tres claire (bus express fira/perivolos ne s’arrête pas). Je recommande d’avoir une voiture de location, de préférence petite car ruelles étroites et sinueuses. Parking à disposition à la villa. Mais le bus reste possible, nous l’avons fait le premier jour pour perissa et fira. Accueil par notre hôte parfait, il a organisé notre transfert le soir depuis l’aéroport pour 35 e (4 personnes). La villa : accès par des escaliers. Arrivée sur une petite terrasse avec la piscine privée (un bouton sur la piscine pour activer les jets côté banc - nous ne l’avions pas vu les premiers jours :)). Elle est magnifique ! Entrée sur le séjour avec une grande table et rangement possible Une toute petite cuisine mais qui permet de faire le nécessaire (juste assez de vaisselle pour 4, mais nous n’étions pas là pour ça). Une première chambre surélevée (2/3 marches) avec un grand lit et sa petite salle d’eau, une deuxième chambre au fond du séjour avec deux lits simples et une autre salle d’eau (encore qq marches), petite … Couchages confortables. Pas de climatisation mais des ventilateurs que nous n’avons pas eu besoin d’utiliser car les murs gardent la fraîcheur. Tout est très propre et typique (troglodyte). Le ménage est fait chaque jour entre 10h et 11h, serviettes changées et piscine nettoyée le matin. Enfin, une immense terrasse au dessus de la villa avec une vue mer éloignée qui est très agréable pour les repas ou apéros !!! L’hôte est discret mais aux petits soins pour de bons conseils et organiser des excursions, restaurants ou transferts en urgence Nous avions de l’eau, jus d’orange, petits gâteaux et vin offerts à notre arrivée Visite d’un petit chat le dernier jour sur notre terrasse qui cherchait quelques câlins Enfin le village est idéalement situé sur l’île car au calme, loin du tumulte de fira et Oia mais rapidement accessible en voiture : 10 mn de perivolos ou akrotiri, environ 20 mn de fira Bref nous recommandons en toute saison !!!! C’était parfait et nous avions hésité entre plusieurs logements mais n’avons pas regretté notre choix !
