阿巴圖斯飯店(Albatros Hotel)

The hotel is clean and decently appointed. However, an extremely rude older woman at the front reception can’t be bothered with guest’s questions. She actually waved me away when I asked her for a bowl at breakfast. She could use some training…

We arrived during the day and the daytime receptionist (gray hair) is not very friendly, not warm, seemed very annoyed if you asked her anything. The evening receptionist is super nice, warm, always smiling. I was so happy to see someone different at night. Our room was the first one off reception (room 201). It was two twin beds pushed together. I did ask if there were rooms with one double bed and told no. Then I was told they were all on the first floor. I would have gladly paid for the upgrade, but the day time receptionist got pretty rude about all of it and didn't entertain the idea of a different room. Keep in mind we saw only one other couple at the hotel the entire stay, it's low season now. The pool was dirty but then we noticed they drained it two days later - end of season. The room was clean, except for the glass in the bathroom. The shower was so darn tiny. That would have been fine if they had a shower curtain that worked. The 2 foot by 2 foot shower had a shower curtain that was too short and the curtain stuck to you the entire shower. The entire bathroom floor was wet after you showered. We just couldn't use the bathroom after showering and it was gross to shower with a curtain stuck to your body. Our view was another building out the balcony and air conditioning units. Internet was good because we were literally 5 feet from the reception area. I would choose another hotel, but this was part of a tour so we didn't have much of a choice.

Lovely, enjoyed our stay very much. Clean and tidy room, hand held shower but we were ok with that, polite helpful staff, nice pool. Only comment I would add is, ‘get more staff on the breakfast rota, the two poor girls we had were rushed off their feet’. Otherwise happy!

After reading some of the negative reviews of this hotel we were a bit concerned. But after staying here I must say the hotel and staff were excellent. The staff was very accommodating especially friendly was the grey haired lady spoken about in some reviews. She helped us arrange a tour of the island and was generally concerned that we were having a great time. Hotel staff were also quite friendly and exceptional at helping us find our way around. Excellent value.

We were very skeptical when our tour booked us at this hotel. The reviews are not good, but we went in with an open mind. It is clear that they have made improvements over the years. The windows & doors are all new. The floors, the grounds and all areas of the hotel are remarkably clean. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, despite what some of the previous reviews are indicating. We did have one issue. We were assigned the farthest room from the front, room #221 or #241. The Wi-Fi would not work in our room, which was a big deal when that is how we stayed in touch with family at home. The room was also extremely small, even for standards in Greece. After one night the staff was able to move us to another room which had working Wi-Fi and was also considerably larger. They really stepped up to resolve the situation. The showers are very small, but that seems to be a standard this part of the world. Being just outside of Fira was not an issue. It was nice and quiet with some fantastic restaurants about 500 meters down the road. The bus system in Santorini is excellent and there is stop just steps from the hotel door. Pool is also very large and a great place to relax. I wouldn't dismiss this property.

Lady at the front desk in the evening is sweet but... You have to pay €3 to take a towel to the swimming pool ‼️ Seriously. The shower is smaller than one sq. meter/yard -- and the plastic shower curtain will cling to you. 😱 You may save a little money with this inconvenient lodging, but it's not worth it.

接待處非常友善和友好。 房間很舒服。 不過唯一讓人失望的是早餐時間很有限，早餐區域也很小，客人多的時候沒能吃到早餐。

Staff was outstanding. Room was marginal, although clean. Furniture very dated - shower inadequate. Pool was closed temporarily. Breakfast good.

J'ai dormi à L'Albatros une nuit. La chambre a été réservé pour une visite organisée de l'île et n'est donc pas de mon choix. Je vais commencer par les points positifs. L'hôtel semble propre, les lits confortables avec les oreillers supplémentaires en cas de besoin et la chambre dispose d'un vrai frigo (vide à l'arrivée). On notera aussi les flacons individuels de gel douche et shampooing Malheureusement il présente aussi beaucoup de désagrément un peu agaçant. Pour rappel l'eau courante de Santorin et déconseillé à la consommation. Il aurait été sympa d'avoir une bouteille d'eau car si la chambre dispose d'une bouilloire vous n'avez ni eau ni thé ni café à mettre dans les gobelets en cartons présent dans la chambre. Les portes ne filtrent pas le son entre la chambre et le couloir (dans les deux sens). La porte des toilettes grince, la chasse d'eau fuie, le rideau de douche guide l'eau en dehors du (petit) bac à douche. Le pommeau de douche le laisse filtrer que très peu d'eau, j'ai du le dévisser pour me laver les cheveux au tuyau. L'accueil n'est franchement pas des plus chaleureux même en temps de distanciation sociale. Bien que disposant d'une petite terrasse privée celle-ci donne sur une cour(propre) face à un mur et est facilement accessible depuis la rue. Pas ou trop peu de réseau dans la chambre, l'hôtel semble avoir le wifi mais l'identifiant individuel ne m'a pas été donné à l'arrivée et vu que j'avais l'air de déranger à chaque interaction avec l'accueil je n'ai pas osé aller le demander. La piscine bien que fraîche et agréable contient pas mal de débris végétaux. En bref pour un prix de 100€ (ce qui à l'air d'être abordable sur l'île) cet hôtel bien que remplissant sa fonction vous fera tiquer sur pas mal de détails qui mis bout à bout sont pénibles.
