Hotel Crusch Alba Sta Maria

The staff greeted us upon arrival and informed us of all the facilities. We were baffled by the interior design; it was like walking around a museum and always being surprised by what is behind the next door! Our room was very cosy with a balcony facing the mountains. We were big fans of the whirlpool, which we had to ourselves for 1½ hours and another time with very few people in it. They also have a sauna and a steam room. The restaurant at the hotel was good, with big portions. They also have a spiele-raum with a pool table, ping-pong, table tennis and darts, great evening activities. Breakfast was fantastic, with food for everyone's taste (bread, cereals, yoghurt, fruits, cheese, meats, jams, eggs, cake; I recommend the bündner nusstorte) and loads of homemade products. The beverages were also very nice (coffee, tea, warm/cold chocolate milk, and a variety of juice). The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, very accommodating to our needs and good on tips for hiking etc. You can feel their passion about their family hotel! The town itself is also very beautiful to explore! Would 100% recommend staying at this hotel, this will not be our last visit! In summation: We were impressed!

Das Zimmer war schön und sauber mit Balkon. Auch die einheimischen Gerichte waren lecker. Weniger gepasst hat uns der Umgangston der Chefin am Telefon, welche auf einen Anruf um 14:00h (Hotel öffnet erst ab 17:00h) auf eine Frage nach dem Weg sich beleidigend äusserte. Beim direkten Gespräch wollte sich die Chefin nicht zu erkennen geben und ging uns generell aus dem Weg. Gepasst hat uns auch die heimelige Wellnessanlage mit den Strohbetten.

Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt an der Durchgangsstrasse, doch mit den neueren Fenstern ist der Strassenverkehr nicht zu hören. Der Hauptverkehr ist sowieso tagsüber und da waren wir am Wandern. Das Zimmer war gross und neu. Im ganzen Haus hatte es viele Treppen und Gänge, die eine bewegte Geschichte des Hauses vermuten lässt. Gesamthaft ist es sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Im Keller ist ein grosser Raum mit Sauna – sehr modern. Diese kann man per Lift oder Treppe erreichen. Die Küche war sehr fein und saisonal. Vieles ist Bio und wird selbst angepflanzt. Das Frühstücksbuffet mit einer sehr grossen Auswahl von selbst hergestellten Produkten (Brot, Konfi, Joghurt, Kuchen, etc.) wurde mit viel Liebe präsentiert. Es war einfach toll. Ein Aufenthalte in diesem Hotel können wir jedem empfehlen.
