Our room was terribly chilly…we advised the front desk who promptly sent a maintenance person to address the problem he advised and apologized for the fact that the heating system had not been turned on. This is located behind a panel in the closet. We waited for approximately an hour and no improvement. We again called the front desk and were informed there was nothing they could do about it since maintenance had left for the day. We endured a long uncomfortable night.

Pictures make this place look much better. Everything was closed when we got there. We were only passing through and stayed one night but rooms were very dated and nothing special. We stayed at the sister property on our way back through town, The Loretta Inn and Spa, and felt like it was an upgrade! Eldorado was fine, very friendly staff, but the rooms could use a little update.

This was our 2nd stay here this year. We like the location to the restaurants and the plaza. We had a room with a fireplace which was nice. The only trouble we had was our air conditioning quit on the 2nd night we were there. It was blowing hot air and the e had a difficult night sleeping. The next morning we called the from desk and they sent engineers up in less than 5 min. They fixed it after about 30 min. Without even asking they gave us a discount on our rate. Every member of the staff was friendly and helpful. The best hotel experience in Santa Fe.

Eldorado is NOT a 4-star luxury hotel and I don't understand the glowing reviews. HOTEL: Not particularly friendly or informative receptionists. Boring, dim and dirty lobby (look up at the light fixtures). Bar was never open. Wasted space that could be used for entertainment. Stained carpet throughout hotel. Gift shop was overpowered by jewelry and little in the way of necessities, clothing, etc. No kiosk or shop for water, coffee, tea, soda, smoothie or snacks between 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tiny fitness center. No exercise classes. No sauna. No florist. No courtyard. ROOM: There was no air conditioning in either room that we were given (we had to ask for a fan)! Smoke smell even tho we didn't have or use a fireplace. Peeling wallpaper. Rusted bathroom fixtures. Broken mirror. No way to turn on the shower without getting wet. Scratchy towels and robes. No slippers. Dim constantly flickering LED lighting. Hard pillows. Comforter that sounded like you were wearing a diaper. Old drab furniture. Improperly sized drapes. No in-room mini bar. Unbranded bottles of water. No room information about tv channels, room service, etc. No do not disturb notice. OVERALL: Definitely not an upscale experience especially for the room price and resort fee which we were charged for even tho it rained during our entire stay and the hotel closed the pool!

We didn't have the best experience on our trip. Our hotel was less than desirable no a/c, tv had sound no picture, water in shower turned off while showering. windows do open so that was a bonus to get some air flow. We asked the front where the pool was and told us the 5th floor, we went to the pool completely drained and dirty. We did receive a discount for partial of the stay but I wouldn't recommend staying there especially for resort prices. Room was basic similar to that of a LaQuinta or like hotel. I expect more when booking a resort. Valet was nice and Jairo at the restaurant was a good waiter. The girl we checked in with had an attitude and got mad if I asked any questions. So overall the time we spent at the hotel was thumbs down. Our friends had the room next door and had similar experiences.

This hotel was beautiful and extremely clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it. Close to shopping and dining. The restaurant at the El Dorado was superb!

Valet was wonderful. Hidden fees I had to pay at the end of my trip was not fun. Looks like the hotel could use a little makeover/update.

We love staying at the El Dorado when we visit Santa Fe. It is very a very comfortable and well kept property.
