Everything was up to par from reception to the room and the service was beyond amazing

The porters are the best, proffesional, helpful and very kind. Beautiful views. Nice and clean rooms but they stole our dress, jacket and sandals and they never bothered to compensate. As i was reading the reviews, i noticed im not they only guest whose stuff was stolen.

I’ve stayed at this hotel for an extended period of time. It’s like faulty towers, dressed up as something overpriced and ‘luxury’ when in fact, it’s rather pathetic. Nothing works. They steel from you and won’t do anything to take responsibility. I’d genuinely rather stay at a holiday inn.

Hotel que j'ai très bien aimé! Tout d'abord il est grandiose des ses 57 étages. Il est pas loin du Square Nelson MANDELLA au milieu d'un très grand centre commercial! Fabuleux!!La chambre c'est un véritable appartement! Spacieuse avec tout un équipement complet y compris machine pour laver le linge. Le bar terrasse le plus haut d'Afrique. Le soir repas au bord de la piscine avec grand écran. Salle de sport magnifique et piscine fabuleuse. Le personnel vraiment au petit soin et très dispos et compétent. Merci Nous étions en couple en Février 2024.Sandrine et Thierry.

We Followed the sign - Leo's Deli into the Leonardo Hotel looking for breakfast. 1st floor open plan Deli at reception. The menu prices a pleasant surprise for the upmarket surroundings. The service wasn't what one would expect from such an upmarket establishment but the coffee was piping hot and breakfast fabulous.

This hotel is overrated for the price tag. The only thing 5 star about it are the upper floor rooms and the view. Even the alto bar wasn’t that impressive. Breakfast is okay and lacks variety. The one thing that left me a lot to be desired was service at the reception. Some of the people working the reception act like they own the hotel. Zero customer service. When I arrived I needed to charge my phone and asked to borrow an adapter. The next day the reception guy asked if I’ve brought it back, I said no. He said he’ll add a 500 rand charge until I bring it back. What need do I have with a South African adapter worth 100 rand? (I saw the price on it) When I checked out I left it on the bed but he needed to physically see it to remove the charge. Then since my flight was at 10pm and I had checked out at 11am, I was just going to hangout at the hotel. I asked this same guy if he can give me wifi access but he said they’re not allowed to after one has checked out. This hotel is cheap with their wifi. So I couldn’t work on my laptop the whole day. Bottom line I doubt I’m going to be staying here again. I didn’t get my moneys worth. My friend was staying at the Maslow and I toured the place and it seemed they had more to offer their guests for half the price.

Almost everything was on point except Breakfast. Service was always an issue…the waiters are all gathered in the bar area and we had to to raise our hands for someone to attend to you.its even more disappointing that everytime you would go for breakfast service was worse than the day before.Having ordered granola i was told it will take time!!!how on earth will granola take time …something that should take not less than 10 mins ….the 5-7mins for beverage rule hardly worked as you would see your drink on the pass but no one would take time to serve it.Aurum service was good.The Rooms are good & Housekeeping had to be the best ,special thanks to Veronica.Front desk and conceirge were always attentive.

The hotel itself looks fine, but when I went to the restaurant for the first time there was a disgusting looking fingernail looking thing in my iced tea. We ordered some food and ice cream that wasn’t even stored nicely and overall the food wasn’t special. Really disappointed.

The Leonardo In a class of its own .. We spent four nights at The Leonardo in a two bedroom grand suite. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival to be greeted by warm friendly staff and a beautiful reception area and lounge. The art work throughout the property is stunning and adds to the general feeling of being in a high end establishment. There was initially some mix up with our booking but Penelope was very helpful and made sure that we were able to check in without any delay. After our Moet&Chandon welcome drink we were taken to our well appointed suite which had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The Al La Carte breakfast was very high quality (although slow to arrive at times) and had enough choice for everyone. Presentation was top notch and we left the hotel each morning feeling very satisfied and ready for the days adventures. Overall, this is a gorgeous hotel in an excellent location. It is made even more homely by the attentiveness of the staff who are alway on hand to make sure that no needs go unmet. Special shout out to Penelope, Bobo ( aka The President) Paulina, Tshepo & Ray (Security Door Man Extraordinaire) !! Great team !
