My wife and I recently splurged on one night at Casa Silencio and it was incredible. From the beautiful grounds in a remote location to the interesting mezcal tour to the delicious tasting menu, I highly recommend this boutique hotel and the unique experience they offer. The hotel can arrange for private transportation to and from the hotel, so no need to rent a car. It is about an hour drive from Oaxaca City, which is part of its charm.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel near Mitla with incredible sunsets, some of the best food we had in Mexico, a fantastic mescal tasting course (with their own mescals), and impeccable service! Since it’s in the countryside, it’s also v peaceful, so makes for a great 2/3 day break from Oaxaca city.

This place is stunning in every way possible. Off the beaten track with fab hiking from the door. The service is impeccable… nothing is too much. This is a real escape from reality-absolute calm and serenity. Rodrigo in particular stands out…quietly anticipating your every whim with a huge smile! Fantastic food and drinks to boot. 3 days of absolute bliss…

This is the coolest/vibiest hotel i've ever stayed at. And the staff is incredeble. They almost have a super natural way of knowing what you need even before you do. If you want a memorable experience, stay here. Special shout out to one of the Managers, Rodrigo. You're one of the flyest cats around and your hospitality was greatly appreciated!

Absolutely transformative visit. From the incredible architecture seamlessly integrated with the surrounding landscape. Informative tour of the mescal distillery, delicious drinks, magical dinner, and exquisite service. Perfect getaway from Oaxaca.

Such an unexpected delight! Casa Silencio exceeded our expectations in every way. The property is gorgeous and the architecture and attention to detail are simply stunning. We simply loved the aesthetic. The staff anticipate everything you might need before you even realize you need it. The food was some of the best we had in Mexico, which is saying a lot, and the cocktails are fabulous. The mezcal brewery tour was highly informative and fun, and the tasting at the end was fantastic, especially the bespoke bites crafted just for the experience. If you like hiking, I highly recommend booking the hike up into the hills to see the ancient burial site. This was another highlight of our entire trip!
