布裡斯托爾精品飯店(The Bristol Hotel Campbell San Jose)

Fun experience - quaint decor. Don't count on the breakfast for anything substantial. Nothing hot but toast. Hot water decanter was full of something icky both times even though we told staff about it. However, overall pleasant stay.

Property is beautiful but very old. Bathrooms are very nice . Bedroom area old and dated. Creepy painting on the wall next to the bed. The remote timer for the TV didn’t work. The price was much higher on your site than at the location. The location has a huge discount for traveling employees at good Samaritan Hospital. I will be staying there again this week for two nights, out of convenience while working this assignment however, I will be looking around for a nice hotel near by.

I had stayed there before and really liked it. I was somewhat disappointed this time, mainly in the service. The first full day we didn’t want full maid service, rather just a change in towels and the desk clerk seemed to have a hard time fulfilling that request, but after much discussion did make it happen. The second day we got full service but the housekeeper didn’t replace all the towels. Basically, though, it was comfortable.

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are friendly and welcoming! I usually stay somewhere nearby when I’m in the neighborhood but this time, I had my 89 year old mother-in-law in tow so I thought I’d get something less sterile. I found the Bristol online and thought it looked lovely. I was actually underwhelmed when I pulled up as the exterior is unassuming (but secure, well lit with plenty of parking). Once I walked in the lobby though, I was dazzled!! Every inch of the place was beautifully decorated! I wanted an early check in as my MIL was getting tired. The manager was very helpful and said he would get us a room right away, which he did! The room was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable. I wasn’t able to stream content on their tv though as I am used to doing at other hotels but that wasn’t a big deal. I was able to use a hdmi cable and my laptop so she could watch her shows. Overall, I was above satisfied with our stay at the Bristol.

Decor is a very nice change from contemporary hotel decor. Sure it is a bit repetitive, so what? I much prefer this imitation of european opulence to modern, contemporary hotels that typically charge more per night for a room. The comfort is equal to Marriott Courtyard or Hilton Doubletree but the experience is unique and pleasant rather than generic.

My second stay at this property. Nice, quiet location overall. Plenty of parking. Hotel is decorated beautifully, and clean. Overnight rates are very reasonable, and breakfast is tasty and plentiful in a lovely room. I take off one star for this stay because our next door neighbors were super loud at 1am, as were the people above us. Made me realize that the walls are pretty thin. The chain on my door (112) was broken, which as a woman traveling alone a lot of the time makes me feel less safe in the room.
