Our family of four (kids 8 and 11) stayed with the Tut family at Crystal Paradise for 4 nights, March 23- 27, 2025 . Eric picked us up from the airport and led us on 3 day trips throughout our time at Crystal Paradise. He is patient, kind, knowledgeable, and thorough. We always felt safe under his guidance. Carolita and the kitchen staff took amazing care of our picky eaters and made sure we ate delicious meals that were wholesome and nutritious for all of our day excursions. Alba is an amazing office manager, who was very responsive to all of my questions. As this was the first time our family traveled out of the country, we were nervous but excited. Eric, Alba, Carolita and the Tut family welcomed us with open arms and took amazing care of our family. We were so lucky to have found Crystal Paradise and so grateful that they took such thoughtful care of us on our first trip to Belize.

Highly recommend Crystal Paradise. It's a family-run hotel. It's definitely a jungle lodge, and not a luxury hotel, but that's what I was looking for. Rooms are clean, the food is really good (do the breakfast/dinner that they offer) and there are plenty of great things to do nearby. Mayan ruins, birding, swimming in the Macal river. The staff are helpful and friendly. Great hotel

This was my third visit to Crystal Paradise over the years, this time as a volunteer leader for a group of 16 members of an adventure travel club. The accomms at the lodge's thatched-roof cabanas are wonderful and sparkling clean as always. The family-style meals are excellent thanks to chef Carolita, who still makes the world's best tortillas! Many colorful birds can be seen right from the dining area and the staff will identify them for you. The members of the Tut family also made sure our visit was one for the books by arranging our daily adventures for all the amazing activities in this natural, cultural and historical region of the world. Canoeing on the Rio Macal is available right from the lodge. You can arrange for many tourist excursions with the help of the staff there. Since they are natives and helped develop these tours, they know how best to manage your schedule of fun activities. You can also arrange for birding tours with Eric Tut, a family member and renown birding guide for Belize. Once you visit Crystal Paradise, it will become your home in Belize, as it has mine!

We did not stay at the resort but we contacted them for the kayaking and canoeing guided tour. It was a last minute decision and they responded quickly. Our guide Everald was great! He was very knowledgeable, funny, and patient. Crystal Paradise seems to have great business ethics and they care about the well being of their customers. Would highly recommend!

We stayed at Crystal Paradise for five nights in May and couldn't have had a better experience. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable. The food was very tasty and the menus nicely varied. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the birds, as well as daily bird walks and excursions to Mayan ruins, local markets, a nearby butterfly farm and more. We can't wait to return.
