霍桑飯店(Hawthorne Hotel)

This hotel is well maintained and at one end of the action in Salem, so it's good for getting around town. Rooms were clean, and it was wrapping up a renovation, so new carpets among other improvements. Sad to say the restaurant experience was one of the worst.

We loved our stay at the Hawthorne Hotel. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the location is perfect, and the vibe is immaculate. The one complaint I have is about room service - took over an hour to receive breakfast, and most of it was cold and the poached eggs were actually soft boiled eggs at that point. We will definitely return, but we will skip room service - just wanted our kids to experience it once.

Loved this historic hotel! It is within walking distance to everything we did in Salem. We didn’t even rent a car! Will definitely stay here again!

The Hawthorne hotel is full of rich history. Although updated some original touches have remained, such as the old door handles on the bathroom door and closet door. This hotel offers options for food. The tavern had a friendly a**osphere and great food and service. Tours are easily accessible from here. Don't let the weather stop you from coming it is worth it.

This hotel was the highlight of our stay in Salem. What a beautiful charming spot. The hospitality was a delight.

A nice, clean and cozy room. Holiday decoration in the lobby is beautiful. Staff in front desk and restaurants are all very friendly, kind and considerate. Love this hotel!

It's a beautiful hotel with a lot of history. We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was friendly, there were two large weddings happening there so we kind of felt that they overtook the space - which is fine we found plenty of things to do out in Salem! The staff did a great job handling a very busy weekend. Rooms were clean but there was some mildew under the tub train (which we went ahead and cleaned while we were there). It's very conveniently located, we were able to walk everywhere.
