索爾科姆海逸飯店(Mr & MRS Smith Salcombe Harbour Hotel)

Hotel amazing and staff great but sadly our stay was spoilt after we fell ill the morning after we ate in the restaurant on our first night. Can’t be sure obviously it was the food from there but it was a real shame as could not enjoy the hotel or beautiful Salcombe. Still the view from our room was stunning. Staff were lovely though!

The quality and consistency of service was fantastic. Every single member of staff we met was genuine, interested, keen to help and friendly. The whole experience oozed quality. Highly recommended.

Not our first time staying in a harbour hotel, and on the whole we weren't disappointed, but there were a couple of frustrating elements which were easily avoided. Firstly, there was one member of staff (a young man) who stuck out like a sore thumb in his attitude. All the other staff were helpful and polite, this person was the exact opposite - rude, unhelpful, entirely unvolunteering to help, and even sarcastically said no when I asked for my car keys... Secondly, at no point during the process (booking, call before arrival, on arrival, when keys were left, in the car park, in the hotel room etc) did anyone mention the £10 per night charge for the car park. Apart from not being told, I would not expect to pay £250 for a night in Salcombe in early December to then be slapped with an additional £10 car parking charge - comfortably put a sour taste in our mouths on check out. Thirdly - on enjoyment of the spa facilities we were then rudely interrupted by 14 young children coming into the spa, running up and down opening privacy curtains and making such a noise that all adults were forced to leave. Again, warning on arrival, board near the spa, at the spa reception etc to avoid these times. On the whole, the property is in an excellent location, is well maintained and the staff (generally) are very helpful and attentive. Shame the above spoiled the experience.

Hotel great, Staff first class, Really good food. We will defiantly be back for another stay.

The Staff are exceptional, easily as good as the views from the hotel, and that's mighty impressive!

My room had a small high window with no view or daylight as a brick wall really upset as paid £309 There were no other rooms available This was a treat for the last day of my coastal trip . Discussing value for money .. very oppressive dark room Not worth anywhere near the cost

One of the prettiest views anywhere in England from the balcony overlooking the estuary. Rooms are well decorated, spacious and have free gin. What’s not to like?

Absolutely faultless- the staff were all amazing , courteous and couldnt do enough to help!! We will definitely be returning next year Wonderful
