Nous avons passé une excellente soirée dans cet hôtel. Bâtiment sympathique, accueil chaleureux, chambre coquette, petit déjeuner copieux. Très bon situé au centre ville à côté des commerces et restaurants. Un parking sécurisé pour la moto

Devant le choix très faible à Bernay, j'ai testé cet hôtel. Personnel charmant. Beaux bâtiments. Bel emplacement dans la ville. Petit déjeuner assez basique, mais bon c'est 2 étoiles. Par contre la chambre... rideaux pas occultants, pas de volet, baignoire collée au lavabo, VMC insupportable la suite. Lieux moelleux.

Un accueil époustouflant!! ! La proprietaire est solaire et professionnelle, quelle gentillesse.! Elle n a su quoi faire pour nous mettre bien. L hôtel est aussi accueillant, la literie d un grand confort, et très propre, n hésitez surtout pas à y aller si vous passez par cette charmante petite ville... et le petit déjeuner est du même acabit, franchement très bonne expérience, à revivre dès que possible...

My first impression of this hotel was what a completely charming place to stay! I'd read some online reviews saying that it was "nothing fancy" or in need of an update, but I'm guessing that there's been some refurbishment since that was written. The stairs and corridor areas look a little old-fashioned - but I liked that: it was kind of "shabby chic"! The room, however, was beautiful. There are rooms facing the street or an internal courtyard. I would think the courtyard side would be really quiet. I had a room facing the street - however, from the evening till about breakfast-time the next day, the street goes very quiet, and I got a fabulous night's sleep. The bed was large and comfortable. There was a desk and chair in the room, tea/coffe making facilities and a TV. The bathroom was fantastic! Clearly recently re-decorated, nice and large with plenty of shelf space. The water was hot whenever I used it. Breakfast was amazing, too - lots of choice with non-dairy options and organic produce. Really nice! The receptionist who was on duty when I arrived was friendly and helpful, as was the staff member on breakfast duty the next day. If you had any requests or queries, they went out of their way to help. The hotel is situated right in the centre of town, near to bars and restaurants. There are also pleasant walks around the town, all in easy reach of the Lion d'Or. I arrived at about 5pm and managed to get a space in the hotel courtyard, which was really convenient. If the yard is full, there's on-street parking nearby. I really enjoyed my stay here - and would love to go back again. The price for a very comfortable and enjoyable stay is really very reasonable. I'll be recommending a stay here to everyone!

Very nice welcome. Our room was confortable with an en-suite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was €11 each and very nice. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

Came across this hotel by accident after the Chambre Hotes we had booked in to proved to be of very poor standard. The Lion d'Or made us welcome and we had a clean, comfortable, quiet room plus good breakfast the following morning. A big bonus is that they have their own courtyard where you can safely park your car. Also several good restaurants are all within easy walking distance - Le Bistrot de Bernay was excellent. All in all nothing fancy, but just right for tired travellers looking for a stop-over.
