This was our third stay at The White Lion and every time it gets better! We had a large quiet and comfy room with a big superking bed and nice bathroom. The staff were so nice, the food was great we couldn’t fault our stay, just one small thing it would be nice to have a shower with a hand shower too, just a rain shower isn’t easy to wash everything properly !!!!

An enjoyable and very comfortable stay in a spacious room at this pub with rooms, located in the centre of the bustling town with plenty of places to eat and parking at the back of the pub. Ideal for getting to local tourist sites within a fifteen mile radius.

My wife and I spent 3 days here 5 years ago and returned for another 5 days last week. It was good last time and even better on our return visit. Great food, a nice room, and excellent service. Tenterden is fortunate to have this high quality accommodation. We enthusiastically recommend it.

Excellent pub/hotel in the centre the town with its own car park. All members of the team were superb, smiley, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Food was top gastro pub quality, fresh local ingredients, and excellent choice of beers and wines. Bedroom was clean and well presented, bed very comfortable. All in all a great stay

We enjoyed a special weekend rate with £30 towards an evening meal each. Great location , with easy parking & easy check in . Room was really well done , large size , big bed , bath & robes and all the usualful touches . Staff ALL friendly & helpful , evening food was hot , delicios and in nice surroundings . Breakfast was even better !! Thanks for a lovely relaxing stay

Great hotel/pub. Clean spacious rooms, huge breakfast, good restaurant food. Helpful, polite staff. Fantastic location if your in Kent for wine tasting for instance. Also a short drive to Sissinghurst Gardens, Rye and Hastings. Our third visit in 5 years. If we're in the area again The White Lion will be our first choice.

Lovely pub/hotel. Stayed here for a night following a wine tour a Chapel Down. Had a fantastic sunny Sunday all day so clearly the weather helped make this so pleasant. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room had great character. Great pub as well in a great location, what’s not to like. ??

Very good and spacious room. Good ambiance in this establishment. Good beer and courteous staff. Food very nice. Entertainment whilst I was there were very good. The pub was clean, with an excellent outdoor eating and drinking area. I Would recommend the Youngs beer

Great hotel and restaurant, ideal location on Tenterden High Street. Nice large room and a very big bed. We were visiting Chapel Down Winery, just a short taxi ride away. Had a look around St. Mildred's Church, just opposite the White Lion. All in all, a great weekend
