They put us in the room right below the breakfast café which at 6:30 am became very noisy due to the continental breakfast they served. We also had no cleaning service since they were very short staffed. In addition, they called us to say that my wife could not smoke on the patio outside our room that faced the lake. It appears one of the guests tattled on us. I was informed that it was a $250 fine. I explained that I was not aware of this and they told my wife that we needed to be 150 feet from the building. However, the designated smoking areas outside of every exit were not that distant and in fact the ash trays were right next to the exit door. We also did not see any postings in the lobby or elsewhere about this restriction. I purposely booked a room at a hotel that had either a patio or balcony so my wife could go outside and have a smoke. I will never stay at this hotel ever again and I warn anyone else who has a similar situation to not book there either. There are other hotels in St. Ignace that are far more accommodating.

Needs up date. Bed were ok.It was quite, pretty view from our room.up keep on the grounds and building was poor. Rooms seemed clean.
