Extremely disappointing experience – misleading photos and no refund My partner and I booked an apartment with EH Apartments in St. Gallen (Mercurio), expecting a bright, spacious place as shown in the listing. Upon arrival, the apartment looked nothing like the photos: it was small, dark, smelled of dampness, and was far below the advertised size. We decided not to stay and immediately contacted them. We were offered an alternative room and a second space for our things, but it was not equivalent, and the owner was not even in town to properly assist us. Despite several messages and polite explanations — including a personal and heartfelt message I sent — they refused to refund us unless the apartment is rebooked, which is uncertain. We are now left without a place and with our money withheld. This has been a very stressful experience during a vulnerable time for us, and we feel deceived. Bei unserer Ankunft war die Realität ganz anders: Der Raum war klein, dunkel, roch nach Feuchtigkeit und war deutlich kleiner als angegeben. Wir entschieden uns, nicht zu bleiben, und nahmen sofort Kontakt auf. Uns wurde ein anderes Zimmer sowie ein zweites Zimmer für unsere Sachen angeboten – keine gleichwertige Lösung, und der Eigentümer war nicht einmal in der Stadt. Trotz mehrerer Nachrichten und einer persönlichen, ehrlichen Bitte um Rückerstattung wurde uns gesagt, dass wir das Geld nur zurückbekommen, wenn das Zimmer erneut gebucht wird – was ungewiss ist. Jetzt stehen wir ohne Unterkunft da und unser Geld wird einbehalten. Das war eine sehr belastende Erfahrung in einer ohnehin schwierigen Zeit, und wir fühlen uns getäuscht. Excellent location just on the edge of old town. Easy walkability to everywhere, 10 minutes from train station. Apartment is clean, beautiful, and so many windows were helpful to keep it cool in hot weather. Would stay here again!

This apartment is located ideally in the heat of St Gallen.
