聖克勞德Five Below附近住宿

This is a brand new Hilton Garden Inn. As a result, everything in the building is in good condition and functional. I’ve heard the walls are thin in the rooms, but not enough to bother me - I’ve lost enough hearing that people can make a little noise and I don’t notice. Don’t expect the usual familiar Hilton Garden Inn breakfast. For some reason, there is a steakhouse connected to the hotel, called Mavericks. I had dinner there, grilled salmon. It was overcooked but edible. Even though the restaurant is physically connected to the hotel, THEY DO NOT HAVE ROOM SERVICE. Breakfast was full cooked to order, with “continental” items as well, although I’m not keen on eating cut fruit out of open pans even under a sneeze guard. They cut it off at 9 am so don’t sleep in or you will miss it. One weird touch is the morality screening on the business center computers. I was trying to look up my client, which is a beer, manufacturing company, and was blocked. No matter which browser I tried, I was told the site I was trying to access was in the “Alcohol and tobacco” category and was not allowed by the system administrator. Apparently, the hotel is run by someone of some very strict religious faith, such as Muslim, Amish or Quaker. Which is fine by me, although imposing one’s own beliefs on others, particularly for a period as short as a hotel stay, is a questionable and unfruitful business. I had my own laptop I could shift over to, but I imagine there are other people who might be in desperate need of these computers for similar purposes, and might find themselves in trouble.

I stay here once a year and I always like it. However, they have changed the parking policy. There is an adjacent parking ramp and you use to be able to rent a space at the front desk. Now the hotel can only rent out a few parking spaces on the lower level. I said, but I know my slot number, can't you reserve that space for me? ”No, the city prefers you to park on the lowest level.” ”I was just there, there are no spots on the lowest level. Can I reserve the space I am in?” ”Well, the city prefers you to park on the lower level.” ”What does 'prefer' mean? Will I be ticketed if I park somewhere else? ”Probably not, but I can't guarantee it.” If you don't think this exchange is worthy of a four-star review instead of a five, then you have more patience than I do. One other small note, the rooms are clean and well-furnished. However, there is not a single USB charging port in the room.

When we walked into the hotel with our kids to check in on a Friday night around 8pm there were a bunch of adults sitting around in the lobby/breakfast area drinking booze (they all had coolers) and a few of them were yelling at each other and swearing and one of them stormed off. Apparently they were wresting parents and there was a wrestling tournament in town. Their kids weren’t with them, so they must have been unsupervised elsewhere in the hotel. There were four staff members standing at the front desk but none of them did anything about the swearing and yelling. It felt like the Jerry Springer show. We brought our kids to the pool area and were about to step into the hot tub when we saw brown chunks floating around. The front desk was alerted and someone used a net to remove the visible brown chunks from the water. We walked by the pool area about 20 minutes later and saw there were people in the hot tub. Gross.
