This is without a doubt the most posh hotel in NB. It's very elegant and provides the service of a 5* hotel and has the activities of a resort. However, our room was not well maintained. Many electric outlets were impossible to use, they were wonky and loose. One if the pillowcases hadn't been changed. In a hotel where the ambition is so high, even the broom closets should be impeccable. It advertised as dog friendly but a 50$ charge is added for the dog. Might I suggest providing at least a few dog enabled rooms for that price? They could have dog beds/treats or at least a bowl for water at that price. The other unpleasant surprise was a resort fee that remained hidden until check out. The price of the room was already well above all other hotels in NB, and making that fee a hidden charge is unacceptable. If you need to charge more, show it in the booking price.

Great stay once again in this beautiful hotel. Room was nice and clean with renovated bathroom. Hotel has great amenities and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Check in was quick and all staff were very friendly and helpful.
We had dinner at the Right whale pub that is part of the hotel. They served typical pub food, my hamburger was tasty, fries were fresh, and beer was cold. 😁 In the morning complementary coffee and tea were served in the beautiful relaxing lobby.
We will definitely be back.

Very desappointed about the resort. Very expensive,even if i paid for the extra guest ,4 adults in a two queens double room via ******* . The resort wanted the same fee $50 for an extra adult and then they wanted a resort fee,which is far for a resort...really. For a company that took over in 2012 with a repayable loan of 21 millions dollars from our government at least they coulds clean the carpets or change them ,i would walk bear foit that’s for sure.The fine dining restaurant,which is not, is way over price and the meal don't even come with potatoes unless you pay an extra $9 for a small bowl of mashed or $11 for a small bol of fries.As far as the town ,everything is cramped up on a small one way street. Not worth the trip at all ,STAY AWAY.NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL ,WHAT AN EMBARRASSMENT ...

We liked the resort and it's history. The ******* walk through hotel was a nice offering. We found everything very expensive. The rooms were very pricey, the service wasn't great for the price. The surrounding area was beautiful, waterfront was gorgeous. We did a Whale Watching Tour with the Cruisin with Whales and it was fantastic. We found the restaurants frustrating, dining took 2 to 3 hours, very limited staff available.

They have switched focus to family resort with lots of noise and activities without saving space for seniors looking to continue quietly enjoy this historic tow. Inadequate marketing of unwaivable reset fees and taxes. We won’t return
