Bel endroit, mais un peu désuets. Il y a une odeur d’humidité qui flotte dans l’appartement, probablement dû à l’absence de ventilation adéquate. Ordinaire dans l’ensemble.

Wir hatten das Zimmer mit dem schönsten Meerblick.( Eckzimmer OG). Leider haben wir festgestellt, dass die Matratze der Schlafcouch in einem schlimmen Zustand war. Zwar wurde reagiert und eine neue Matratze besorgt, aber so etwas darf nicht passieren. Über den Service kann ich ansonsten nur Gutes berichten. Sehr freundlich, alle 2 Tage wurde gereinigt, das Geschirr gespült etc. Man könnte ein paar Liegen auf die große Terrasse stellen. Was auch unangenehmist, öffnet man die Terrassentür, ist die Wohnung sofort voller Fliegen. Ein Fliegengitter wäre hilfreich. Großer Parkplatz, Mietwagen notwendig. Alles in allem hatte wir einen schönen Urlaub auf Sao Miguel

Das Haus ist toll mit komischen Eigenarten. Die Zimmer sind groß, komfortabel und sauber. Großer Parkplatz, Pool, Terrasse am Zimmer. Tolle Dusche, keine Badewanne. Eigenarten: es ist so gut wie kein Personal anwesend. Fast alles lief telefonisch und mit Codes. Morgens bringt eine Dame einen Frühstückskorb mit zwei Brötchen, Tee und Kapsel Kaffee. Eher etwas dürftig. Nachteil: Frühstück auf dem Zimmer benutzt Geschirr, welches dann selber gespült werden darf, da nur alle zwei Tage gereinigt wird. Das gilt auch fürs Bett und Handtücher. Restaurant und Supermarkt 6 Minuten mit Auto entfernt. Aber ohne Auto ist das Hotel auch nicht zu erreichen.

We had a room with the sea view. When you enter the lobby everything is nice and it smells good. Outside they were busy with some touch ups of the building. After entering the room I was shocked. To our travel agency we asked luxery to end our holiday. The only luxery there was, was the sea view. The bathroom ceiling was full of mold, every time we entered our room we smelled the mold, it was terrible. Also the door of the bathroom was all cracked up probably because of the humidity in the bathroom. The bed is hard and cracks by every little movement. The walls are so thin that every time your neighbor says something you can join the conversation. The paint was getting off the wall at several places and rusty spots at a few places. The manager promised us to bring breakfast in the evening because we had to leave early the next morning for an activity. But she gave the housekeeping the wrong day, so we didn’t get the breakfast. We tried to call the manager Francisca 6 times during the day at several times to discuss our problems with the room but she didn’t answer the phone. Also our agency tried to call her twice and left a mail. The next day our agency arranged another hotel for us. The housekeeping showed us another room before we checked out. They cleaned another room for us, without mold in the bathroom. But for us it were already to many things and it was also my birthday so I was done with it. Honestly the only thing that was good in this hotel were the housekeeping twins, they were kind and really wanted to help us.

This lodge is a true jewel, you don't need to look any further, just book it, and you will not have any regrets!! It's like a retreat - peaceful, superb views, comfortable rooms, and super friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend it!!!

Everything was amazingly well prepared, organized and designed. We liked the check-in process (a detailed instruction was sent well in advance), the location (amazing view over the Atlantic Ocean, rather short ride from the town nearby and from PDL airport), the food (we used breakfast option - it was really plentiful and the quality of ingredients was very, very high), the hosts (we managed to meet them face to face - they were super nice folks who are really helpful). The room was clean, the kitchen - well equipped, the atmosphere was outstanding. There was a swimming pool and sunbeds were available. We will book here again in a heartbeat. There is really nothing I would complain about. Maybe just a few points of advice for the hosts: - replace single-unit shampoos with dispensers (will likely reduce unit price and it's more eco-friendly than a non-refillable plastic package) - advertise the rooftop terrace better - we fond it by mistake, but it is of course something that I would consider a huge value for warm Summer nights.
