Wat een paradijs! Gelegen aan eigen strand aan het Kivu meer met een weldadig uitzicht op een eilandje. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Hele fijne kamer met heerlijk bed en goeie douche. Kortom de rit over de slechte weg meer dan waard. Ze zijn wel bezig de weg te verbeteren. Maar voorlopig heb je voor de laatste 2 km wel een 4x4 nodig vinden we. Je kan ook met de boot vanaf Gisenyi of Kibuye. Prima optie want lekker varen op het meer. Rushel = top!

C'est isolé de tout, c'est bien pour se reposer, mais tout est fait pour consommer sur place avec tout de même des tarifs un peu excessifs, sinon l'endroit est très bien, mais pour y accéder la route est horrible et donc si j'avais su qu'il fallait emprunter une telle route j'aurais renoncé malgré le charme de l'endroit

Magnifique endroit !! superbe accueil du staff et délicieux repas et petits déjeuners. Les vues imprenables sur le lac, on ne s'en remet pas. Il y a même moyen de dormir en tente selo budgets et envies. Arrivée très facile en bateau ( voir avec la reception). projet économiquement ancré dans la région.

Vistas espectaculares, playa muy bella, personal sumamente amable, las habitaciones son mejores incluso que en las fotografías. Muchos senderos para caminar, bien mantenidos . Rushel Lodge es altamente recomendable.

Beautiful lodge! We were greeted after a long day of biking the Congo Nile trail with fresh squeezed juice and warm hospitality. The view and beach at the resort is absolutely beautiful! Had a delicious dinner and breakfast at the restaurant as well. Room was comfortable and modern, we really enjoyed our stay!

Great service and comfortable tent stay on Lake Kivu. The tent was spacious and charming. The service at the lodge was very good. The food was delicious! I had one of my best meals in Rwanda at their restaurant (steak with fried plantain and greens)

The resort is a perfect place for everyone. I stayed there for three weeks as part of my winter vacation because I needed a place where I can get connected with the nature, enjoying morning birds songs, feel the fresh air from Kivu lake and surrounding kinunu hills. I stayed in the tent but it was luxurious and comfortable inside and outside with a very amazing lake and garden view , I felt I was staying in a five star hotel room❤️. Staff were professional and friendly, enjoyed natural food and juice from Rushel farm. Lastly but not least I enjoyed hiking and visiting INYAMBO ( Rwanda traditional cows with long horns) at the nearest island called Bugarura. I would say that Rushel Kivu Resort is the mother hotel on the Kivu belt from Rubavu to Rusizi. They deserve four to five star instead of three star !

We enjoyed our stay at the lodge. Clean, green, very well-kept compound. They grow fruit and vegetables for their use, and everything comes fresh from the garden. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Cecile from reception and Amani in the restaurant, to mention some of them.

Amazing location and amazing stay. The staff goes above and beyond, so friendly. Had lovely breakfasts, lunch and dinner. Etienne en Amani deserve a special mention. Beautiful views of the lake which is so refreshing. Could have stayed much longer!
