勒特拉扎度假村

The location overlooking the lake is of course fantastic. On-site restaurant and bar are lovely, three pools to choose from (all operational when I was there). If you want to swim in the lake it's a bit of a climb down a wall to get there, or you walk through the bushes behind the small building at the far end of the pool area. Staff was nice even if maybe a bit uninterested, but can't blame them, there were barely any guests and they essentially kept the restaurant and bar open just for a tiny group. Everything friendly and nice. Rooms are a bit dated but everything works fine, so it's alright. WiFi was actually very decent.

We stayed here for one night, arriving late and me busting for the toilet after a long drive! One staff member, who spoke English, was super lovely and showed me to the “nice” toilet — there wasn’t any electricity so he also let me use his phone as a light (awwwww). We seemed to be the only people staying there and other staff seemed indifferent to our presence. We had to ask for towels (they were nice ones, once they arrived), our balcony doors didn’t lock and there was a mosquito net over the bed but it had holes in it. The air-con was very poor in the room at first and the shower head squirted water everywhere… my friend and I had a semi-okay sleep — we both woke with sore backs and it was quite cold in the room as the air-con had finally kicked in! We had some difficulty in the restaurant as half the food on the menu was not available and no-one spoke English (that’s okay — I do appreciate it’s not the country’s native language!) — we finally ordered food at 8pm (we were starving) and when it finally arrived, the meal was delicious (and huge!). Note that breakfast isn’t served until 8.30am — it was a very basic continental breakfast (omelet or crepe).

Hotel agréable, personnel aux petits soins sans être envahissant. Très bonne cuisine, essayez les fatayas, les pâtes à la bolognaise sénégalaises... Possibilité d'organiser des excursions. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Patrons Très sympa

De infrastructuur van het hotel is zeer goed. Absolute rust en mooie tuin. De kamers zijn proper en goed ingericht. Het personeel van bar en restaurant is onvriendelijk, onbehulpzaam, en lijkt daar echt met tegenzin te werken. Het keukenpersoneel is wel vriendelijk en de gerechten zijn lekker. Ontbijt wordt in principe geserveerd van 8 tot 10, maar hoewel we lieten weten dat we moesten vertrekken om te gaan werken, kregen we pas om 8u30 een eerste koffie, en verliep de service verder tergend langzaam. Het duurde nog eens een half uur voor het buffet langzaam langzaam werd gevuld. Misschien geen probleem voor vakantiegangers maar wij waren een uur te laat in het ziekenhuis waar we consultaties moesten doen. Ook na de nodige uitleg aan de bedieners werd ons geen enkele tegemoetkoming gedaan. Bij de betaling van onze drankjes, een rekening van 7500 cfa, moest het personeel nog vijf minuten zoeken naar een rekenmachine om te berekenen hoeveel wisselgeld ze moesten teruggeven op 10 000. Men nam mij niet op mijn woord toen ik zei dat het 2500 was (en na zoveel onwil vertikte ik het om een fooi achter te laten).
