芮木旅舍(Rimu Lodge)

Stayed only 1 night wished it had been more. A great design of a lodge set high up just outside Hokitika. The host was amazing, friendly, professional and helpful. As was our perfect room. Top quality furnishings and linens with lovely additions. Complimentary happy hour in the main lounge was lovely. The view from our room out to the patio and huge landscape views was excellent. Opeens ben je op een prachtige plek, ietwat onverwachts. Dan wordt je welkom geheten door Sue Ellen en begint een luxe ervaring. Haar plezier om je een plezier te doen is evident, dat geeft het iets speciaals. Ieder detail krijgt aandacht. Sue Ellen is een echte gastvrouw die maakt die maakt dat iedereen zal willen blijven.

Tesoro escondido cerca de la playa de hokitika.Pequeño hotel de 4 habitaciones , superbienequipadas, amplias , comodas y con una vista impresionante. El resto de la casa acorde con las habitaciones , de un gusto exquisito. La propietaria , una mujer encantadora te ofrece un refrigerio al llegar , luego te deja bar de licor para que te sirvas a tu gusto.El desayuno impresionante , los mejores huevos benedictine que hemos comido.Vale la pena detenerte y pasar un par de dias, nosotros solo estuvimos una noche pero nos hubieramos quedado mucho mas. Gracias Sue Ellen, fue un bonito final de un viaje a Nueva Zelanda que nunca olvidaremos.

Beautiful lodge with a great view and deck. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Only drawback is the rooms are not sound proof. I could hear someone in the next room TV and some one snoring. Not sure how this can be resolved. Could be a problem if you are a light sleeper.

We got a very warm and friendly welcome on arrival. Sue-Ellen is a wonderful host. The lodge and the room (there are only 4) is very nice and spacious. The view from the room and the terrace is spectacular. At 5 pm the host invites all guests for a „happy hour“ with free drinks. A good chance to meet the other guests and the host. She had a lot of good advices, what to do and where to go for dinner. Such a pity that we stayed only for two nights!

This was a perfect stay for us and Sue-Ellen was an amazing host! Beautifully nestled on top of a hill, the view was spectacular. We wish it were a clear sky the night we arrived because apparently the night sky looks beautiful from the deck. Everything about this experience was a 10/10.

What a wonderful and peaceful lodge. We had a lovely room overlooking the valley. We were lucky enough to see a beautiful sunrise. Sue-Ellen is a great host, providing us with information about the local area and restaurants nearby. We loved happy hour at 5pm and the breakfast was delicious and served in the light and airy lounge. Highly recommend.

Fantastic place to stay. Really lovely and comfortable. Sue Ellen, the proprietor, could not have been nicer. The rooms were large as was the bath. Slept like a baby - pillow, sheets, towels, robes all great. Room also had a refrigerator. Loved the view from the large plate glass window. There was a complimentary cocktail hour at 6p which was great. Would highly recommend. ❤️
