迪斯科維裡公園 - 羅克斯比當斯

Roxby Downs Discovery Park is a great park. Large sites. Friendly staff. Clean and spacious amenities block. Free use of the laundry facilities, which was a bonus. The water desalinated water and was great to drink. I have no hesitation in recommending this as a stop for a few days to anyone!

We booked into this park for two nights. We were advised that there were two areas we could use - at the top of the park and if you wanted to use the laundry it was free or down towards the back of the park used for camping - you pay for laundry if using this spot. We decided to go down the back of the park as it was quieter away from the road and had a nice outlook and birdlife. As there was only one other van in the 5 caravan spots allocated we moved over so not to be on top of the them. We enjoyed a great night. Facilities at this end of the park leave a bit to be desired as the toilet and shower cubicles are very small and there really is nowhere to dress after your shower. Enjoyed a day exploring the area to return to find another caravanner parked right next to our van to the point we could hear him chewing his food as he sat about 2ft from our van windows which we had to close plus the blinds. I realise this is not anything the park staff can do anything about but with 5 spots to select from why put someone right next to another customer. As the noise and behaviour became a little intolerable, we were advised we could move to another spot or we could make a lot of noise, turn up the tele or radio, so we packed up rehitched and move to the front of the park. Interestingly, the facilities here are lovely, very spacious and great cubicles. Yes sounds like a little thing but our experience was dampened - if the park had been full then yes you know you will be next to other campers. After moving into a new spot the next caravan that arrived was put next to us with admittedly a little bit of a gap between this time. It is the little things that make a place memorable and one you would not recommend.

Very clean and comfortable. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin. The beds were comfy and it had everything we needed! It had air conditioning. If I had one complaint the lounge would have been it - it wasn’t very comfortable!

Top spot for our tents and use of camp kitchen so neat and tidy everything in one area , short walk out back to club for good meal after big ride from Cameron's corner, absolutely lovely staff great lawn area between tents and bbq , amenities excellent

What a great facility, the cabins were a great size with layout excellent. Mattresses great to sleep in and roomy. Cabin had Airconditioning on when we got there which is great in a 36 degree day. Staff are friendly and professional. Definitely worth the visit. We were there with grandchild to see her dad and saw the town, did a drive to lake Eyre south and andamooka while we were there.

Very warm, kind, organised and welcoming on our arrival. Explained all the facilities really well and very helpful offer of any other information for food, activities etc... Nice touch with a welcome goodie pack. Gave us a choice of sites in the low season which was appreciated and we took the opportunity to move to a different caravan site that suited better.
