FlopHouze Shipping Container Hotel

I was charged a hidden fee before arriving, not disclosed by ******* at time of booking. So sick and tired of businesses adding extra fees and thinking you won't look at your credit card account. Buyer beware. Nice place but not worth the money.

Outdoors can be tough in the summer so comfort of a/c in the afternoon; sunset, stars & breeze by night was country heaven. Cows, horses, cats, & birds added to our joy. Funky, comfy, clean lodgings & no mosquitos or flies; that one is still a mystery to me.

Sweet! Such a great vibe, beautiful view and amazing rooms. The containers are well appointed and decorated to perfection. Nigel will make sure you have everything you need… but you’ll need nothing. I’d stay here again and again. It’s a secret gem… promise!

What a sweet, wonderful little place on Earth. Sweeping views of trees and green fields full of cows, nights full of stars and quintessential Texas moments. We loved our cute shipping container, with all the thoughtful decor and the little extras, like chemex coffee and super soft sheets.

This place is so great in so many ways. It’s really really quiet and serene overlooking some beautiful rolling pasture land cows and horses included. Seems like there’s always a nice breeze. The outside deck early n the morning and sunset allow for the best of all possible reconnect with the great outdoors. And the cats were so sweet and friendly it really added a nice touch. And inside the decor and bedding are absolutely perfect. Vintage record player and amazing album collection. We had listened to music on a turntable in quite some time. It was so nostalgic and fun. The Chemex coffee maker was new for us and we were delighted with how great it was. Very nice touch. 5 minutes drive into Round Top with all the great shops and restaurants. Do yourself a favor and book it you won’t be disappointed.

Our family stopped in for a stay at Flophouze to break up our long drive down to the beach. All of our teens were impressed with the concept when we arrived and had a great time in the pool & making campfire s’mores under the starry sky. Thank you for the unique and fun experience to give our family memories! :)
