Not clean

Staff were very nice, but multiple lights in our room were broken. Water pressure was poor, bed was comfortable but sheets and blankets were not. Breakfast food was average and limited options. Area is noisy, and felt unsafe. Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay hear, but that's not a reflection of the service, everyone we talked to were kind and helpful.

Good location, close to uptown with excellent restaurants, quiet, easy access to Hwy, clean and friendly staff, a lot of parking spot, a few exts and entrance from building close to parking, yoi don't have to go tthe hotel at all. Decent breakfast, and coffee and tea available all the time. If I will come next time I will stay once again.

Strong laundry smell, very perfumy. Clean, updated rooms. Smart TV, convenient parking, comfy beds, temperature control of room. Booked a cot with our room but room was too small to use the cot unfortunately. Disappointed as had requested in advance.

I’ve stayed here about 4 times this stay was quite bad the room had food from the last visitor around the bed. The safety bar on my door was pushed open several times from the outside I was unable to catch who it was but regardless there are huge gaps in the doorway to the frame that would make it easy for someone to get in. Felt very unsafe. People were in parking lot out back all hours of the night racing through and blowing there horn seemed like shady acts were taking place.

It was fine for a night. Although renovated, you can still tell the building itself is old and dated, especially the pool area. Breakfast kept running out in the morning and was slow to refill. Older area of the city, 2 or 3 loud late night trains. Bed was comfy though.

They have an excellent hot breakfast in the mornings and the gentleman on evening desk duty was so very helpful. We do not know the city well and did not want to go out to dine so he recommended an excellent Chinese restaurant that had delivery service and we sat in the breakfast dining area and had a truly delicious meal.

When I checked in, my driver's license was unexpectedly copied without my consent. When I inquired about this, I was informed that it was a COVID-related precaution. However, as of October 2023, it seems unnecessary to legally mandate a photocopy of identification when they already possess sufficient information for contact tracing purposes. According to the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, this practice lacks justification and may potentially endanger guests by increasing the risk of identity theft. Disturbingly, these copied documents are casually stored in a basket at the front desk. The condition of the hotel, which is located in a run-down area, was quite different from the misleading photos online. I felt unsafe during my stay, and to make matters worse, I discovered blood on the bathroom walls.
