住宿方回覆: Dear koketsonakana, Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to share your thoughts about your visit. The power was out in the entire area, and we had no phone reception. We were not notified beforehand that the power was going off. Apparently, it was a faulty substation. We apologise for the inconvenience experienced. There is a generator on our premises, but we cannot switch all areas of the lodge at once; therefore, the Restaurant and office get preference. After dark, we switch on the room blocks. 住宿方回覆: Dear preggyp2025, Thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to write about your visit. 1. You have booked the smaller Family unit and have received a discount for the cricket group on top of the room rate. My colleague has sent you a description of the room and pictures. 2. The kitchen counter and shelf are not broken. They are a bit loose. We could not fasten it during your stay, because we did not want to disturb you. 3. The toilet seat was NOT broken before you checked in. The toilet seat was hooked out by one of your family members and fixed immediately by our maintenance when reported to us. 4. We clearly state before and with a check in the opening hours of the Restaurant and bar. There is also a small shop opposite the road from us, the Kollonade Mall is about a 10-minute drive away, and Uber Eats and Checkers deliver here. We also have braai facilities and a large pool area. 5. The Restaurant ran out of schnitzels on the day because of the large group. They had to defrost more snitzel when you ordered, and unfortunately, the snitzel came out a bit raw in the middle. They took it off your bill and apologized. It would be helpful if you could provide more information so that we can make improvements. Our Rules are pretty standard: we don't allow people to make excessive noise, because we have to think of other guests on the property. We have a liquor license, so we don't allow people to bring cooler boxes with liquor because we could be fined or lose our liquor license as a result. We also don't allow people cook inside the rooms, but that is because of the thatch roofs and fire hazards that will cause. Our property has many outside areas to swim and to smoke. I also send out whatsups and messages and explain to each client checking in that we are available after hours and have 24/7 Security on our premises to assist guests after hours.
