De B&B Dulcis in Fundo is subliem als er wordt gekeken naar prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Vanwege een late aankomst en een vroeg vertrek hadden wij alleen contact met de eigenaar via Whatsapp. De eigenaar reageerde snel en kon ons zelfs nog helpen met het regelen van een taxi. De kamer werd iedere dag schoongemaakt, ook het bed was altijd opgemaakt (en onze pyjama’s opgevouwen). In de koelkast stond drinken dat we altijd mochten pakken, en ook was er een ruim assortiment koekjes. Voor het ontbijt konden we iedere dag een croissantje en een kopje echte italiaanse koffie afhalen bij een tentje in de straat. Hiervoor kregen we vouchers, en hoefde we dus niks te betalen. Wij hadden een aparte badkamer, dit was soms wat onhandig, maar geen groot probleem. We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in Dulcis, en als we terugkomen in Rome zullen we niet aarzelen om hier nog een keer te verblijven

La struttura è curata. Si trova in un appartamento al primo piano di un palazzo, servito da ascensore a partire dal piano rialzato. La camera da me prenotata (dotata di un letto matrimoniale e uno singolo) è spaziosa, luminosa e pulita. Il bagno della camera tripla (privato, ma esterno, come correttamente indicato nella descrizione) purtroppo è interno e privo di finestra, ma dotato di ventola di areazione. Gli asciugamani vengono cambiati ogni due giorni. La posizione è tattica: di fronte al portone ci sono fermate di autobus e tram, le principali attrazioni si raggiungono a piedi. La colazione è inclusa, ma servita esternamente presso una caffetteria a un centinaio di metri di distanza. Il gentilissimo proprietario ci ha fornito tutte le indicazioni per entrare nella stanza in autonomia al nostro arrivo. Il solo aspetto negativo per me da evidenziare è il rumore. L'affaccio della camera è infatti su Viale Trastevere, che purtroppo risulta essere molto trafficato e piuttosto rumoroso, principalmente per via del tram, ma anche durante la notte. Sicuramente tornerei a soggiornare in questa struttura, chiedendo però l'affaccio sul cortile interno. Segnalo che l'ultima mattina, intorno alle h. 9.15, l'incaricata alle pulizie è entrata nella nostra stanza (che non era chiusa a chiave) mentre stavamo ancora dormendo. Accortasi di noi è immediatamente uscita, ma ho ritenuto in ogni caso il gesto inopportuno (il check-out ero previsto entro le h. 10.00), nonostante sicuramente si sia trattato di un malinteso.

To start off, I have never stayed at an Airbnb and my wife had other impressions of what we were staying. But we are staying at the up and coming neighborhood of Testavere. Prior to the trip, Alberto our host was gracious well in advance to communicate with us a few weeks prior to our trip. This brought my mind at ease as we are venturing to a country that we knew little about, and knowing nothing of the language. As we arrived, things gradually got better to the point now that my wife doesnt want to leave. Alberto provided an "Italian breakfast" which I will miss dearly when we went back home. He was an excellent concierge as he provided us with maps, stops, suggestions and background information to help us get accustomed to Rome and our neighborhood. He even provided bus routes as we had a limited budget. Any issue that came up to us (late flights, shady cab rides) Alberto rectified with a solution designed to make our stay comfortable. I could not stress enough the value at staying in Dulcis In Fundo especially in our first time in Europe. Do you want to experience an elevated bohemian living next to Rome? Make sure to check in Dulcis in Fundo and ask for Alberto. He will make sure your stay will be an unforgettable one.

Great location.

The bnb was perfect for our stay in Rome. Check-in was easy and Alberto was welcoming and provided recommendations around Trastevere. The room and bathroom were clean and there were snacks and drinks available. The location was perfect (a short walk) for going to great restaurants and bars in Trastevere and about a 40 min walk to the Colosseum. There was some traffic/street noise at night since it is right on one of the main streets in the area, but other than that our stay was great!

Location ottimale, di fronte al Ministero dell'Istruzione, zona Trastevere vicino a ottimi ristoranti e comodissima per il Centro. Palazzina molto carina, bb molto pulito, colazione ottima in un bar a pochi metri. Alberto gentilissimo e disponibile. Noi abbiamo avuto una camera con vista nel cortile, spaziosa e silenziosa.
