This hotel is great!! It's clean and comfortable. The front desk staff is always very pleasant. The towels, bedding, bed, and toiletries are all nice. It's definitely one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on. The location is perfect as it's in downtown and near the River Walk. I've stayed 3 times and will no doubt stay here again. Thanks

The room was lackluster based on the photos seen online. We had a very plain room, narrow, older. There was a football game at a nearby highschool going on that was very loud. It is a unique building but our double queen suite was just a bit too outdated for our taste.

Very old building, hallways were very cold, had to put on a coat to go get ice. Ran out of hot water when taking shower. People at front desk were worthless, when asked questions. Breakfast buffet, awful!

Right off broad street, we were able to walk everywhere. Room was nice, amenities were above and beyond.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Property has charm and we love the river location in downtown Rome.

Had a little bit of a hard time finding my room; otherwise, it was a comfortable stay, and the staff were friendly.

Having given it 5 stars up and down, only thing I can add is the beautiful and quaint atmosphere inside. Inviting and simply a nice enjoyable place to stay. The lighting was perfect match for the wood and leather decor. A place I enjoyed walking through the front door. And small but important detail to me.... coffee available all day in the lobby. Means I can work in the study and enjoy a cup anytime of day.

We loved the ambiance of the Hawthorne. It was very clean and comfortable. The front desk employees and other workers were very friendly. We loved the location. It was great to walk to nearby restaurants and downtown area.

Staff was so friendly. They let us have a late check out! Front desk clerks greeting us were amazing. Cutest hotel. Room service was amazing. Only complaint was mattress was too hard to our liking and the walls were so thin we heard every word from the floor above us, below us and the rooms beside us. Thankfully we had a white noise machine. If that won’t bother you - you have to come check this hotel out! It’s beautiful!

Just a nice hotel with a great location. Have stayed there a few times and have never been disappointed.

This is a beautiful hotel! Staff were friendly. We could walk to many restaurants & bars. There is also an on-site bar. Pet friendly!
