Abalone House is the place to be if you want peace and quiet with no noisy children about. Leigh and her staff have it right here. The decoration is beautiful and adds a calming nature to the place. This is not your run of the mill normal boring guest house with pastel colours like all the others around. There are three cats on the establishment who are very friendly but equally will not bother you if you don’t like animals. The security is taken seriously here as I found out going to the car one night only to be faced with a guard with a “well behaved” Rottweiler. The beach is an easy 5 minute walk from the guest house. Reubens restaurant is very good and serves a great menu we would also give the restaurant 5/5. Breakfast is amazing and if you are not driving you can treat yourself to a Bloody Mary or champagne. The room we had was large with heated bathroom flooring. The top of the building has a hot bubbling Jacuzzi with a perfect view of the sea. Great at sunset. Remember this place is not for parents with screaming kids but quite the opposite if you need a perfect break to relax and unwind.
