I did not stay at the hotel, but went for diner with my wife, for her Bday. I heard so much about it and but was not really impressed. I ordered a BP cheese burger, and on arrival the fries were cold and not crispy. the burger was decent, but I had better in Bujumbura for way less money. My wife had the local Sangala, and that was cooked to perfection. Service initially was good, but they forgot to order the desert, so we waited for 20 min in vain, for a Tiramisu....It is expensive for the quality you receive.

After problems with the room, the staff put all energy in offering a solution. Stylish hotel with modern comfort in he room, very comfortable beds and very warm and professional staff making you feel at home. And on top: the roof bar with delicious food. A pitty that I had no time to taste all the dishes on the menu.

The staff took a while to come and outside didn’t look the best but inside was gorgeous and modern, which is a rarity in Bujumbura. So many good hotels in Bujumbura have aged and haven’t been renovated so this is a great, relatively affordable high quality option.

Has potential if things are sorted out Great location, nice decor, good AC, good food in the restaurant, good staff. However, some basic things needs sorting out - very poor WiFi, hot water issues sometimes, the bed is too small length wise, the cleaners never knock on the door unless you put a sign outside your room, electricity is a nationwide issue so expect long blackouts especially at night. Whilst these issues persist, the hotel should consider reducing room rates and be transparent with guests about some of the issues so as to set the right expectations.
