Great place to stay if you're going to the Harvester which is just across the street. Bed no breakfast was fine with us. We did find a cup of coffee. Comfortable and clean. Housekeeping staff was particularly helpful and the owner dropped by to say hello with a few good recommendations himself.

We had an excellent stay at the Early Inn! The rooms are all gorgeous. We chose the Magnolia Suite as it was bright, had a bathtub and big shower. It was absolutely fantastic. We were graciously received by Brian, the proprietor, who explained us about the history of the building and the restoration work that had been done. We also had lunch at the Rocky Mount Burger Company next door (also run by Brian and for which he provides a discount). Burgers were delicious. Overall, I'd say the Early Inn is definitely the best accommodation you will find in Rocky Mount, and probably the best in a 100 mile radius. Highly recommended!

The host was nice and let us check in early and check out late. The building and the room was very cool, old with a lot of character, also clean. But the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the springs were completely worn out. The bed sunk a ton in the middle, my fiancé and I woke up in the middle of the night in pain. It was easily the worst bed I’ve ever slept on, we were very disappointed and seriously contemplated sleeping on the hardwood floor or going home because it was so bad. For $180 a night I expected to have a comfortable mattress to sleep on, this was so far from that.

I couldn’t have more wonderful things to say about our stay! The building is so unique and well maintained. Everything is very very clean and thought was given to every detail. What’s more, you are in walking distance of great food and the Harvester. Highly recommend.

This place is a GEM! The rich history, cleanliness, friendly service and convenience of this location was perfect! It is walking distance to The Harvester, and several restaurants, including the burger place down the street (DELICIOUS!). I cant say enough about the amazing room we stayed in, The Magnolia! Gorgeous! Can't wait to stay here again.

A wonderful relaxing place to stay. We went to a concert at the Harvester Performance Center and this is ABSOLUTELY the place to stay for an event there. Beautiful accommodations in a historic building. They aren't serving breakfast now (not sure if that is temporary or the plan going forward) but there are options in Rocky Mount.

Love the history here, you can just feel it when you pull up and walk in. Beautiful wood floors and very high ceilings. Large comfortable bed and pillows. Bathroom was gorgeous tile with a huge 2 person tub and shower. Owner was very responsive and gracious. We had dinner at his burger place across the street, food and service was really good. Would definitely stay again!
