Nice, old house in great neighborhood. My room was nicely decorated and it was very functional. I loved the fact that I could open the window and get fresh air. Staff were amazing...wonderful, healthy breakfast included in room rate. Highly recommend it!!!

What a charming alternative to a hotel or B&B! Super simple to get to from the airport. The residential street is quiet and filled with great turn-of-the-century homes with tons of character and architectural interest. Nearby, the Park Ave. neighborhood is an easy walk to coffee shops, restaurants, shops, etc. Check-in was super easy. My bed was extremely comfy. The room was very clean and the bathroom was nicer than I expected, full of great bath products. Breakfast was so good! As was the service. The perfect spot to stay for me and I'll definitely stay aain next time I'm in Rochester!

This was our third stay at Dartmouth House. It is comfortable, clean and a great location so we keep coming back. The substantial breakfast and agreeable hosts make it even better. Be sure to make any special requests you have ahead of time. In nice weather, it is within walking distance of the Park Avenue restaurants and shops and you will see the beautiful homes on your way.

My wife and I stayed there for the weekend for our first trip to Rochester. We were very happy with the comfortable room and bed, excellent homemade breakfast, and the great location that made walking everywhere a delight. We will definitely be looking to stay here again next time we are in town.

This place has so much character. Staying there is an experience, not just a good night's sleep. The innkeepers are great people. It feels like a club really. Other guests were friendly and interesting. Breakfast was lots of fun!

It is in an excellent location in a very charming B&B. The rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable. Gary was extremely congenial and welcoming. It's a fine location. The breakfast was tasty and fresh. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. We'll be back!

The most welcoming B&B we have ever stayed in and we travel the country a lot! Gary is friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, caring and also a very good cook! He and his partner do everything possible to make their guests comfortable. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, clean and comfortable. Parking is fine. The neighborhood is beautiful and walkable. We highly recommend Dartmouth House.

The Dartmouth House is in a residential neighborhood in Rochester, New York. A short walk gets you to numerous restaurants. There is parking behind the house for 3 cars, otherwise you park in the street on alternating days. Was within walking distance of the George Eastman Kodak Museum. While there was nothing seriously wrong with the accommodations there could be some improvements. The room was nice and roomy but little things needed attention. The closet door rubs the floor and was hard to open-an easy fix that could have been done. The bathroom was updated and the amenities were nice but the tile floor needed some serious cleaning. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the house was quiet. The breakfast was individually made and very good and plentiful. There was only regular coffee on the serving cart but I never asked if there was decaf available which I would have preferred. There was only 1 juice choice and no jam was found for toast. Again-I didn’t ask so it may have been available. Overall the hostess was very nice and easy to talk with. She gave some nice suggestions and was the one who made our breakfast. Having said all this I would still recommend this location if you like bed and breakfast hotels and prefer to be in local neighborhoods. FYI-this neighborhood was very nice and walking around the streets here was very enjoyable.

I loved my stay at this historic home in a beautiful Rochester neighborhood. It was cozy and unique, the perfect place to unwind after a long day at a funeral. Breakfast with Gary was phenomenal—I can’t recommend it enough. And if you get the chance to use the clawfoot tub, it's pure heaven. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. If I'm ever back in Rochester, I'll definitely stay at the Dartmouth House!
