Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was large and clean. Apart from that, we were unhappy with the customer service, and the price we ended up paying for what was a fairly well-worn room that was essentially nothing special. Certainly, I have paid less nearby and gotten a much nicer room (Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel). To be frank, I think we were scammed by the hotel. We were booked as part of a room block for a wedding, but found out (quite by accident), that they hotel was advertising the same room as ours for $50 less for the same night. When I asked customer service if we could get that rate, they essentially said no. So, a room at $285 that was not worth the cost, no breakfast or other amenities, and the same room available to someone else for $233. I would not recommend this property and I'd warn people to watch out for game-playing with the rates. The property was noisy well into the night due to a private party in the top-floor club. Very hard to get any sleep 2 floors down. Oh, yes...the property had a full wedding party including reception on-site, in addition to the block of rooms for our party, which was at least 15 rooms, and the pool was closed! Everyone in our party was unhappy about that, and I'm betting we weren't the only ones. 3 points for the staff, but beyond that, I wouldn't stay with them again, and I'll watch the rates closely for any Hilton property I book in the future, if I decide to even book a Hilton property.

Lovely hotel, but charged for extra night ! Called hotel and was told we smoked in the room!!!! We most certainly do not smoke ! Was assured a manager would call us back and it would be taken care of, which it was not! We are assuming in our rush to get on the road, after staying one night and keeping the room immaculate, we forgot to tip and cleaning staff was not happy with us! We've stayed at many hotels , no issues like this . We are not smokers of anything ! We loved our stay, but the customer service end really soured us !

The hotel was very impressive. The room was modern and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The staff at the front desk made us feel welcomed a priority. The delicious cookies we received as we checked in, were really appreciated. We will definitely return to stay at this hotel anytime we are in Rochester

We were so pleasantly surprised at just how much we loved our stay. It was only a one night stay and we would not hesitate to return. Check in was smooth, accompanied by a warm chocolate chip cookie. The room/suite was spacious, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were so good. Great local pizza recommendation from the Front Desk. Church bells down the street. Lovely.

Beautiful hotel in a nice area. The front desk staff are friendly and the hotel is very nice. I loved walking around the area too looking at all the old houses. The breakfast was fine. Typical hotel food and overpriced but not surprise. Would def stay here again if in the area.

The room was a king suite which was quite spacious with a fluffy pillow and comfortable bed. Upon check in, the friendly woman told us breakfast is served behind you in Char and gave us the hours. I'm not much of a breakfast eater but figured I'd grab a yogurt and muffin before hitting the road. There was a buffet with breads, yogurt, fruit, and eggs, bacon, and sausage, but I don't eat much at breakfast. My husband grabbed some mediocre eggs and a few slices of bacon. I asked if there was coffee and it was brought out promptly. We were surprised when a bill for 47.00 came. Perhaps partially my fault for not remembering that it was not included, but I also think the woman at check out should say, You can purchase breakfast at the restaurant located by the fireplace. That's a hefty price for a yogurt and muffin. Someone said they make pancakes and custom eggs and omelets. That was never indicated to us at all so I'm not sure if that is true. Anyway, I've learned a lesson. I would stay here again but probably walk somewhere down the road for breakfast. Live and learn!

Amazing experience! The location is nice… close to downtown Rochester. Room cozy, clean and full of space. Great breakfast selection. I had then an issue with my since they tried to break in and steal it and the super professional personnel at the lobby supported me and helped with the policy to get the report done. Tks so much!

I really like the DoubleTree brand (especially for those cookies). We stayed in room 221 with a view over the courtyard. The suite was very spacious and quiet. In the morning, I suggest a walk around the block to see the neighborhood (you are in the Arts District). There is a museum nearby with outdoor sculptures. Overall, the check-in process was simple and easy. We loved that they had an on-site electric car charging station. If I were to visit again, this hotel would be my first choice for a stay.
