Disappointing experience with serious service issues, partially salvaged by the duty manager. My stay at JW Marriott Riyadh started off very poorly. I arrived at 3 a.m., and check-in was disappointing — no welcome drink, no upgrade, and none of my pre-arrival requests were met. My room was small, not on a high floor, and the “genius suite” was misleading: the bathtub’s view is blocked by fixed blinds. On top of that, someone was smoking on a non-smoking floor, which made me feel unwell, and reception offered no real solution. Concierge service was equally frustrating. I had arranged a driver for a trip to the Edge of the World, but I received conflicting information and was quoted a price three times the market rate. When I raised the issue with the concierge, he promised to resolve it and never got back to me. Complaints at reception and with concierge went completely unaddressed, forcing me to escalate directly to the duty manager. Thankfully, the duty manager intervened and salvaged my stay — upgrading me to a penthouse suite for a few hours and offering a complimentary dinner. While his support was excellent, it shouldn’t have taken escalating multiple complaints to get any resolution. Overall, the hotel itself is luxurious, but inconsistent service at reception and concierge, misleading room descriptions, and poor handling of complaints make this a risky experience.

Not sure how to start but I wanted to give an honest feedback after reading the reviews that were in the system I have checked in only yesterday at the JW Marriott Riyadh . Sultan at the front desk was wonderful friendly and made his best to accommodate me knowing I am coming from a long flight. I was upgraded to a suite without even asking and got offered dates and water at check in. In the morning I met Nada, Amjad, Fatima at the front desk and other members they were all friendly accommodating with a wonderful smile on their faces and this is the Saudi hospitality. JW is spotless clean, great amenities, good location and mostly staff are amazing. Yes it is a bit pricy but it is worth it. Definitely would recommend staying here. Everyone here treated me like I am a family member.

What a fabulous weekend I had and it was all made possible by the staff from this hotel. Every single person I interacted with was second to none when it came to customer experience. Upon check in the fabulous Nada handled my booking. She was amazingly friendly and extremely helpful and checked me in extremely quickly. There was Kezriah (not sure of spelling) in the club lounge. Ultra friendly positive and made me smile. I had an amazing massage (can’t remember the names), which was equally fantastic. I had dinner at JW ‘s Steak house. Highly recommended!! Steak and foil gras was delicious! Served by Clinton. I also was helped by Ibrahim and Reema on reception. All in all these guys made my stay. I got upgraded to a junior suite which was very spacious and comfortable with full length windows and views across the city. The location of the hotel is close to many amenities and only approx 20 mins from the airport. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff really made it! I will be back
