Hog - House of Gypsy

Good location in Tapovan approx 1 mile up from Ram Jhula the central crossing bridge. Down a quiet street away from the noise of the main road but close enough for restaurants. Some lovely beaches a little further up with some good views of the Ganges. Hotel was clean and I got a free upgrade to a room with a balcony on the third floor. The air con in the room was not working although this was not a problem as the ceiling fan worked well enough. Shower was great plenty of hot water and not a bucket and jug job that I’ve tended to have whilst in India. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I had some laundry done at 30 rupees per item. Hand in one day delivered to your room next evening. Only negative point was that there were frequent power cuts generally in the evening- 2 to 3 per day.
