默林多莊園飯店(Merindol Manor)

Tout était parfait ! L'accueil, la chambre, le petit déjeuner (magnifique), le staff... Rien à redire ! Si nous revenons dans la région, nous n'hésiterons pas une seconde à y retourner. Merci Vincent, thank you Nicola... pour tout... for everything !!!

This review is relatively objective being my 17th road trip, staying at 18 properties over a 43 night period. I stayed one night solo in February. Easily found in a quiet part of town, but within walking distance of shops & restaurants. Secure parking. Very welcoming, pleasant and hands on owner. Wonderfully restored old house with a perfect blend of old and new. Very pleasant gardens and pool area. Large, comfortable and well equipped air conditioned bedroom. Aircon not needed by me due to the natural coolness of the high ceilings room. Good quality bed linen and excellently fitted bathroom. Breakfast cooked to order was excellent. Good WiFi throughout. Highly recommended and if in the area again will return.

We stayed for a night at the delightful Merindol Manor on route to the Cederberg. The host was truly welcoming and extremely helpful. The establishment is immaculate and the breakfast was delicious. Try and book the Chenin Blanc room. It has a splendid bathroom and stunning views over the valley. We will definitely return.

A truly lovely stay! The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was enormous! Loved the feel of the Manor House. Vincent, the owner, was very friendly and welcoming and made an incredible breakfast! I would definitely go back!!

My partner and I had a wonderful, all-too-short stay at Merindol to celebrate our anniversary. We'll be back soon! The room was comfortable and well-appointed, and the house itself has a stunning garden and convenient pool. Vincent and company made us feel right at home, and served up a delicious breakfast.

Had a fantastic stay here. The owner Vincent is extremely hospitable and his wife is lovely too. Great breakfast, pool and view of the mountain in a beautiful historic house. Had fun playing with the retriever and the nearby restaurants in Riebeek Kasteel are great too.

As soon as I spoke to Vincent on the phone I knew that I had chosen the right place even before seeing it in person. A brilliant Victorian manor situated in Riebeek west a few minutes drive from Riebeek Kasteel. They really made us feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend it for couples or families or anybody just wanting a relaxing stay. The breakfast was brilliant with everything home-made. Will definitely be back.

I spent one night in Merindol Manor in the first week of December 2023, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that I will be back. Firstly - the house and grounds are gorgeous, with the period features carefully juxtaposed with modern touches like power inverter (to counteract the notorious SA loadshedding), fast & reliable wifi, and Nespresso coffee machines in each room. When I arrived I was the only guest so Vincent allowed me the pick of the rooms. My suite (Chenin) was huge, with impressive views over the immaculate gardens, with a feature 4 poster bed and gigantic ensuite bathroom. Bed was comfortable and luxurious - just what I needed after a long haul flight. The next morning, I had a delicious breakfast served out on the "stoep" (patio) and ate while the birds sang in the flowering jacaranda trees in the garden. The owner and host (Vincent) was friendly, attentive and made sure I felt right at home. When he saw I was travelling along, he even kindly invited me to join him for dinner that night, but I had already made plans to meet some friends and family at a local restaurant. All in all, I am so pleased I chose to stay here. I'm already planning my next trip back in 2024.

Amazing Boutique Hotel with incredible host. Vincent & his team go beyond what is required and one expects to be honest. Polite, courteous & exceptional hosting. I was feeling a little under the weather, Vincent was immediately available & brought a few items & offered ti go to the pharmacy. The hotel is gorgeous, plush gorgeous rooms… not the modern look if that’s your thing but tasteful eloquent rooms that are spacious. The pool, garden areas are just as gorgeous. Vincent recommended a beautiful French restaurant which was simply heaven on earth! We will definitely be back one night is not enough!!
