This cozy lodge was an ultimate unplugged escape! We were looking for a more relaxing long weekend and this was the perfect base to enjoy the tranquil nature and explore Isle Madame. This was the nicest cottage we have ever stayed in. Each one secluded yet still just a short walk from the others and it was just a few minutes walk down to their beachfront pavilion and clubhouse. The family history of this lodge is so moving and Ingo and Maria were extremely welcoming and conscientious hosts. We wanted for nothing and our cabin was so well-appointed. Not to mention the decor was made all the more rustic and beautiful with Maria’s artwork and Ingo’s amazing underwater photography adorning the walls. You can tell from every corner of the property that all elements have been tended to in such great detail and with such an abundance of care that can only come from the soul of a family owned business. Thank you Ingo and Maria for your hospitality and for a lovely experience during our stay!

What a fabulous place to stay. Vipi Lodge on Janvrins Island, part of Isle Madame is superb. A cosy & well equipped lodge to chill out, cook & relax. Or use the kayaks, canoes, SUP on the private little beach or simply sit on the deck & watch the osprey dive for fish. I can't remember the last time it was so dark that you can't even see your hand in front of your face and hear nothing except nature. Close enough for supplies at Arichat and other beaches, walks or a great pub. Loads to do or not, bikes or a Zodiac trip. A club house to play games or listen to music and an enclosed BBQ area on the beach. It's all been thought of. Highly recommend for a quiet part of Nova Scotia that seems to be relatively untouched by mass tourism.

Nous avons eu le bonheur de séjourner au Vipilodge 3 magnifiques nuitées. Un oasis de tranquillité avec un sympa côté brut et isolé qui nous amène à la détente. Une belle histoire de famille entoure ces lieux touchants. Ingo était absolument charmant et très accommodant en plus de parler 3 langues et avoir un talent pour la photographie subaquatique! Nous avons adoré notre séjour et reviendrons sans aucun doute.
