彼得舍姆飯店(The Petersham)

This was my second stay at The Petersham and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time if not even more this time because I got the opportunity to stay for more days. A couple of my favorite things are the design of the hotel inside and out and its perfect location in quiet surroundings close to Richmond Park and Richmond City. Other favorite things are my room where I feel so much at home, the lounge where I can sit and work using my laptop, the kind cleaning staff and the fantastic staff at the restaurant. They are the most polite and friendly people who on one occassion spoiled me with pastry and on another occasion offered me to sit at the "lovely" (as they called it) spot at the window with the beautiful view over the hill and the Thames river. When I checked in my friend was with me because she wanted to see the hotel and my room. The two receptionists looked half as much at her as they looked at me and found quite and interest in her. This was to such an extend I was at one point unsure whether it was her or me checking in at the hotel. Another time I would prefer the respective receptionists to look at me when giving keys and practical information as I am actually the one who has booked the room and will be staying as a guest at the hotel. Apart from this, all the other things did that I will definitely come back some other time. And it certainly helps the hotel makes the best waffles for breakfast!

我和我的伴侶剛剛經歷了多年來最嚴重的夜晚疾病，整晚都生病並上廁所！我們昨晚在飯店吃飯，我們都認為我們****了！因為我們昨天沒有在其他地方吃飯！在告訴接待處時，他們似乎並沒有過度擔心！

We went to the Petersham for my wife’s 40th and booked delux room and it was very nice, however not worth the money I paid for it. Breakfast was excellent however ruined by screaming kids that the parents couldn’t control. We had a late night drink in the bar. Just a rum & coke and Prosecco and I wasn’t aware until we checked out that we were charged £9 service charge. As much as each drink. I advised the hotel beforehand it was for my wife’s 40th, we had a happy birthday card in the room on arrival which was a nice touch. However when opening it, it was addressed to Burton! No idea who that is? But the most frustrating thing was the floor above us, the floor boards were creaking the whole night and kept me and my wife awake and had no sleep. I think I paid £370 for one night, 2x drinks and 2x English breakfasts. I definitely didn’t get my moneys worth.

The hotel itself is more expensive than I would usually choose, but as I booked it last minute there was not a lot of availability in Richmond. However, thanks to using my ********** reward night, and an upgrade to a double room (I'd booked the small single room) it turned out to be good value. The hotel is in a fabulous location just a few minutes from Richmond park entrance and with a view out over the river Thames.

This was a very nice stay. The personal was outstanding and very helpful . They really care about the journey of their client. The location is superb and the breakfast very generous . The hotel offers plenty of charms would it be by the view it offers or the art surrounding the premises.
