We will always return. What a wonderful break to our journey from Cape Town back to Johannesburg. Decor is beautiful. Rooms spotless and smell so good. VERY LARGE room for 3 adults. Coffee maker and Honesty Bar a great touch. AMANDA is efficient and most Gracious. I wish all stop overs could be this amazing. 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏🙏

We were desperately looking for accommodation on our way back to Gauteng first week of January 2024 for us three and our two furbabies. I found pet friendly accommodation in Richmond, but they were fully booked. Manna from Anra Rusgenot Guest House was super friendly and helpful and put my request on their whatsapp group so that if someone had availability, they could contact me. Janine from Three Birds Country House called me 5 minutes later. She accommodated us three and the two furbabies in a family room. It was superb!! The room was huge with an on-suit shower and its own private garden. It was very clean, comfortable and luxurious. Most important is that my furbabies were welcome! The property was very tidy and had a pool. The property manager was incredibly welcoming. We had supper at Vetmuis Plaaskombuis. The food was excellent! Richmond was lovely. I will definitely stop over at Three Birds Country House each time! What a great stay!

What a lovely experience. Three Birds is just one of many places to stay in this charming old town. We chose on the strength of TA reviews and they are spot-on. Richmond village well worth a stroll, some really interesting sights. Quaintly old-fashioned, our room was immaculate. A Bar fridge, fresh milk for tea and coffee, Wifi, Dstv, this was 5 stars for a 3 star price. Martin runs the place. What a Star. We recommend highly.
