Very poor experience. Booked a night at this hotel back in April for a stay in July as I'll be traveling from out of province. Received an email late last week informing me that the reservation was canceled due to the hotel closure (I initially thought it was spam as my name was spelled incorrectly). Contacted the customer care phone number provided in the email this past Saturday who confirmed that reservations for that location were cancelled, though details were vague. The agent offered to put me through to the reservation line in order to book a new room but informed me that any additional costs for booking would be mine to pay as the customer. I booked a new reservation as I needed somewhere to stay, however for the similiar price point it is now 30+ minutes away from the airport which again will be at my cost. The agent offered me the name of a car rental service or suggested an Uber. The agent also (unbeknownst to me) corrected my name in their system to an incorrect spelling and incorrect email, so I spent another 40 minutes on Saturday with 3+ agents to track down the reservation email and to correct the spelling of my name at the new hotel. By far a less than pleasant experience and I would not book again. I have since canceled my reservation with Ramada outright and booked with another chain due to this disappointing, frustrating experience.
