Stayed over on Saturday night with friends. Lovely place within walking distance of Sherwood Forest. Friendly staff, good food in the bar with quick service, comfy bed and excellent breakfast.

Couldnt fault the cleanliness, compact room (C5) not a lot of rooms to get around the bed, shower spotless, ample en-suite, food was great, breakfast freshly cooked. Given the recent price increases across all hotels, good value for money.

Loved the quaint old property. Would have given a 5 but the room we had was just so small and couldn't connect to wifi until we agreed to receive emails/promotions.

Service was wonderful and the staff were all friendly, helpful and lovely.
Really quirky building. Quiet and comfortable night’s sleep.
For a short stay I would recommend it.
Only downside was that it had been suggested evening meals would be available at the bar/dining room but the kitchen was closed - I arrived at about 730pm so I’m not sure if it had been open earlier or not.
Really good value for the price.

Lovely pub with evening meals and great rooms. Old building so some character stairs but I had a spacious room facing the road (opposite a church) which was quiet and comfortable with very good comfy bed. Bath and shower in en-suite. “Proper” filtercoffee in room too. Would definitely stay again if in the area for work.

Was there for a nearby wedding and was perfect. Arrived a little early and was able to check-in early with no probs. Room was spotless, staff were kind and breakfast was good too.
