老穀倉旅館(The Old Barn Inn)

Cannot fault accommodation and service. Excellent room, food and staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

The included breakfast was excellent - fresh and so much food, we actually couldn't finish it. Lovely big bath towels but one was missing from one of our rooms. Showers very hot and very strong. The M5 is very close which was great for getting in and out quickly and easily but a bit noisy as we had the windows open for air. All in all, a good stay and fantastic value for the money!

This is the most beautiful property! I can see why it’s popular for weddings. The checkin was super quick and the lady was so friendly. The room was great and so quiet! The breakfast was great and all staff were so friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was very good, clean, spacious and very airy, bed very comfortable. Nice touch of complimentary bottled water in room each day. Breakfast was very good lots of choice and provided very quickly. Idealy placed for access to South Wales.

The restaurant served amazing food, ordinary food was made to taste fabulous, I’ve never eaten so well.

When I eventually arrived at 9:30pm I was told that the kitchen was closed and there was no food available, this was after a 5 hour drive to get to the hotel. My room was comfortable but as the hotel is very close to the M4 motorway there was a constant noise of traffic all throughout the night even though all windows were closed. Breakfast was served by a friendly lady and service was good.

Stayed here as an overnight to break up a long journey. Really lovely hotel with a restaurant and bar also serving food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was lovely, we ate in the bar lounge, and breakfast was cooked fresh and very nice (no snotty or overcooked eggs!). Lovely location just a few minutes from the M4 Magor services, yet very peaceful. Room had lots of space and everything we needed. Our room was actually an accessibility room and had a wet room bathroom. Overall this was a great find and we will stay here instead of the motorway services hotel from now on, the price was about the same as breakfast is included at this hotel.
