努特菲德修道院飯店及Spa

Disappointed to say the least. The decor/furniture in the room is tired and drab. We stayed in a room that had obviously had a leak above the window and there was an extensive water stain on the pelmet. While this is not a problem, it just doesn’t look great aesthetically. The breakfast was very good and the staff on this shift were really lovely. If you’re a party of more than two people however, you are seated at the rear of the restaurant. Only if you are a couple do you get to enjoy the views. The staff in the Spa are very helpful although you do have to walk around the back of the hotel and across a car park to reach it. I would say that customer service in some areas needs improvement.

Perfect in every way. We booked this hotel for a small event using their private dining room and stayed overnight in one of the deluxe rooms.. It could not have been better. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were treated with such courtesy and professionalism by all the staff at reception, in the hotel and the waiting staff. The hotel itself is an amazing gothic building in a beautiful setting, the room was really stunning, with every comfort you would need; beautiful furnishings and fittings, huge bed and sofas, enormous bathrooms with luxury toiletries. A fully stocked mini bar including a separate cocktail trolley with complementary cocktails and a generous supply of nibbles. Tea and coffee machine with lots of choices. The dinner in the evening was arranged perfectly by Peter who clearly took pride in his work and loved his job. Nothing was too much trouble and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the grand surroundings. After a wonderful nights sleep, the breakfast was just as impressive, with healthy options and home made extras, the avocado on toast with hotel-made chili oil was fabulous, but also, and especially, the wonderful waitress and waiting staff. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and will definitely return and possibly hold another event here.

I arrived today for a lovely spa break, which isn’t cheap. I have heard about this hotel since I was young - growing up in the area - so to come was a massive treat. The barman was absolutely miserable, would not give me a wine menu when I asked, the telly has basic channels - which for a hotel of this price surprised me. The spa is shabby, the pool was freezing. I assumed that given the price and the fact it was sold to me as a ‘handpicked hotel’ that it would be more upmarket.

Currently sitting round the pool as I write this. Firstly the hotel and the service is excellent. However, came to the pool to have a relaxing few hours, read my book and go in the jacuzzi etc. However, for the past hour there has been screaming kids in the pool. Jumping and splashing everywhere. This is not acceptable for what is meant to be a relaxing environment and what has cost me and my girlfriend all in what will be £500 for one night when you add on the room service. That family should not be allowed in here. It should be adults only. They can go to the local council pool. The worst part was that the parents couldn’t care less about the racket and mess their kids were making. They belong in a bin.

We booked Nutfield for a mid week break to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel building itself is just stunning. Whilst being incredibly old it is kept in immaculate condition by the Nutfield team. The team are just lovely. Friendly, welcoming and unobtrusive. They couldn’t do enough for us. The food and drinks were delicious, and carefully prepared. Our bedroom was extremely comfortable and quiet. The grounds and views across the Surrey hills is also pretty spectacular! Strongly recommended! And if you are able to go mid-week when there may be fewer guests, you’ll feel like lord and lady of the manor!
